CNN — A federal judge on Monday issued a gag order on former President Donald Trump, limiting what he can say about special counsel Jack Smith’s federal prosecution into his alleged attempt to subvert in the 2020 presidential election.
The order restricts Trump’s ability to publicly target court personnel, potential witnesses, or the special counsel and his staff. The order did not impose restrictions on disparaging comments about Washington, DC, – where the jury will take place – or certain comments about the Justice Department at large, both of which the government requested.

Well, I don’t think this judge has the right to breathe.
As all in the USA are innocent until PROVEN guilty, Trump is innocent. He should therefor be able to say whatever he wants on his campaign trail. For Trump, that’s 24 hours per day.

However, I would like to see a claim filed with the Federal Elections Commission that this is an “in-kind” political campaign contribution to the Democratic Party by the Judge and the Justice Department.......just to see the talking heads exploding on the Sunday talk shows.
They learn how to be God in that third year of law school.
So, the prosecutor can continue to try Trump in the media, but the presumptively innocent defendant wrongfully accused cannot respond. Welcome to the Banana Republic of America.
Yes, like everything else they have thrown at Trump, this too will backfire.

All federal judges swear an oath to uphold the Constitution. If this judge is denying an American citizen his right of free speech she is violating her oath of office. Congress was given the power to oversee the lower federal courts in the Constitution and Congress has the power to impeach and remove errant judges. The correct remedy is for the House of Representatives to vote articles of impeachment against the judge and send those articles to the Senate for trial.
Had Congress over the past 70 years appropriately exercised its power to remove judges who refuse to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, the nation would be in much better shape today and the rule of law might be just and even handed.
