An Israeli woman has been hailed a hero after saving kibbutz Nir Am from Hamas as infiltrating terrorists began to invade.
Inbar Lieberman, 25, who is the security coordinator for the village near the Gaza Strip, lead a group of residents to kill more than two dozen advancing terrorists.
Lieberman, who has been part of the security detail in the region since December 2022, heard explosions erupting early Saturday when Hamas launched the unprecedented and deadly attack on Israel, according to Walla News.
She quickly realized that the sounds were different to those she's heard during the usual rocket attacks on the kibbutz and rushed to open the armory and distribute guns among the 12-member security team.
She placed her squad of kibbutzniks in strategic positions across the settlement, set up ambushes, and turned the tables on the incoming forces.

One would think that at kibbutz and settlements within spitting distance of the Gaza border that security would have been very high. But maybe it was just complacency….
All the hog farms there are kosher, right?
> Don’t keep your guns in “armories”...learn from the Swiss. <
Unfortunately, the Swiss are going wobbly on this issue. It has something to do with pressure from the EU.

Fake news?
We might never know.
Had a Brit friend back in the 80s who was married to an Israeli. They would go to Isralel to visit her family on the kibbutz. Security detail at the gate rotated - he said sometimes he was given a rifle and told to stand guard at the entrance.
“How stupid do you have to be to disarm your defenders?”
Democrat class stupid..Murphy, Pritzker, Schumer, Lujan etc.
Forget about that. This woman has a target on her back. She needs to change her name and get plastic surgery. Hamas will be after ner.
A cookie-wielding mother, a gun-toting grandfather, a fearless young woman: Meet Israel’s newest heroes
The problem historically has been the liberal establishment in the developing the Israeli nation
which wanted all guns and ammo locked up within an armory.
Once the enemy is 'within the wire' and at your door, all dependence on perimeter security become irrelevant.
The threat is real, and instantaneous - you can't wait for permission, assuming that your survival is at risk.
What's the expression ? Something like :
You carry a handgun until you can reach your rifle,
so that you can 'reach out and 'touch' the threat.
Take a lesson on the problem of depending only on perimeter security alone, .. and possibly getting permission from authorities.
Getting permission is too time consuming to allow you to re-act.
Good on Ya !
The current strict gun control is actually fairly new after the assassination of PM Rabin in 1995. Typical knee-jerk reaction of filthy governments. Used to be pretty loose like South Africa used to be.
Yep that probably plays into it. Good point
When I was in law enforcement we euphemistically called stuff like this “executive decisions”, i.e. decisions that technically violated procedure, but was the right decision in retrospect.

Gee, perhaps every other Israeli community should have firearms, UNlocked and ready for use, so that lives can be saved in the event of a future attack.
Maybe the Israeli government will wake TF up and loosen up their onerous firearms regulations. If Israel was more like Switzerland, the casualties would have been FAR lower.
hogfarm... in Israel???
Why plaster her name everywhere at great risk to her? BECAUSE IT FITS THE GREATER MEDIA/LEFTIST NARRATIVE: men and women are equal. Gender is a mere construct. Our military is strong because of women.
She’s one in a hundred an is the exception that proves the rule.
Nonetheless, good for her. She deserves a high medal and a safe haven in a different part of Israel.
Yeah, I am aware. I hope the Swiss won't fall for it. They have the right idea.
Hanas would have gladly killed any of them on any day if the week.
She distributed 12 guns from the ‘armory’.
I wonder if they were limited by that 50 round rule. It appears they ran out of ammo. :-(
Who cares what Hadji thinks. All these people are going to hell anyway, unless God decides otherwise.
