A liberal journalist is arguing that the term "terrorism" should be retired as the terrorist organization Hamas launched horrific attacks in Israel, leading to the murder of at least 1,000 Israelis, Americans among them.
Substack writer Hamilton Nolan wrote that for journalists to elevate the knowledge of media consumers, "one small thing" he and others can do is to no longer use the words "terrorism," "terrorist" and "terror" in their reporting.
"Decades of evidence show that the more the media pushes this concept, the more warped the public understanding of global events becomes. I am making this not as a political argument, but as a journalistic one. We, the media, are making people dumber. We should stop," Nolan wrote Monday.
He said the media "to its eternal shame" adopted the language of "The War on Terror," something he called a "stupid, jingoistic, un-illuminating phrase" that is "so obviously dripping with seething fanatical nationalistic blood lust" its use is "incredibly embarrassing."

If there ever was a term that describes the brutal psychological impact of Hamas’s executions, kidnappings, torture, rapes, and general over-the-top savagery it is terrorism.

EU backtracks on Palestinian aid freeze over Hamas attack

The vermin of the 27-member Eurotrash Union are revealing themselves.
It was a Hungarian commissioner [Hungary and Orban are great friends of Israel] that came out with the initial "cut 'em off" statement.
Then, the vermin supporters came out of the woodwork:
"Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and Ireland publicly voiced alarm while other countries did so behind the scenes"
"Jungle Josep" Borrell came out as a Hamas weasel.
Germany and Austria appears to have held strong with a suspension - except Annalena's ministry said that a separate fund would continue to be disbursed.
Annalena needs some Hamas Lovin', apparently.
"Italy said suspending their aid was not up for discussion."

So, our public Hamas weasel countries appear to be:
Not to defend the Europeans in any way, but even if they want to support Israel, they have to look at their now HUGE numbers of Muslims and wonder what may be in store if they go that way.
Even so, the Weasel-Country List doesn’t, yet, include the European countries with the strongest Muslim presence, with that being Belgium, Sweden, and France...so that somewhat contradicts my theory
