Liv Grace came down with respiratory infections three times over the course of four months. Each occurred after a visit to a medical provider in the Bay Area.
Mx. Grace, 36, a writer who uses they/them pronouns, was infected with respiratory syncytial virus, which led to pneumonia, in December, after they were treated by a nurse wearing a surgical mask who complained about her children being ill with the virus.
Mx. Grace got Covid after a visit to a cancer center for an infusion in February. And there was the pale, coughing phlebotomist who drew blood in April, just before they came down with Covid again.
Mx. Grace was born with a rare immune deficiency related to lupus and takes a medication that depletes the cells that produce antibodies. The combination renders the body unable to fend off pathogens or to recover quickly from infections.

If patients are carrying the viruses into the hospital, why allow patients in?
Masks are a symptom of our current facist ruling click.
"Mx. Grace was born with a rare immune deficiency related to lupus and takes a medication that depletes the cells that produce antibodies".
Then I would have stopped right after reading it.
Because an NIH study showed that masks don’t do anything. Also, this study shows that, at best, they do nothing....at worst, they actually make things worse.

Why am I interested in this person’s “pronouns”? (And what about their verbs?)
It’s your hands use the sanitizer ,mask BLAH
Somehow I think a writer travels in some odd circles, which we might not choose to tread.....
I see “Mx” is in the PC stylebook now.
“Mx.”?
Mask kind of work... They keep particulates from entering your respiratory system... But only a medical certified N95 mask can keep very fine particulates from entering it, and they only work once... They aren’t meant to be used over and over and over again.
When Covid came they were correct the first time... Mask do not work... That’s what they said then and that was the truth.
Then to appease the fearful they changed their tune and claimed that mask could save you... That was BS. The best way to avoid all respiratory disease is pretty simple... Stay away from hospitals, nursing homes and schools. That’s where all the bugs are.
If you are immunocompromised, I feel badly for you... Because you will likely end up in hospital at some point and get sick from some bug.
That is a trend that has increased over the years not because hospitals aren’t clean, but because they are overly sanitary with infected disposable materials being left throughout the hospital.
If they instead took their mask, gowns, etc. and sterilized them, and they took their instruments and sterilized them things would likely be different... But they don’t. They throw it all out.
The simple fact is... Most people AREN’T immunocompromised... Many old people are... A small amount of the general population is... But the vast majority of the population isn’t and that vast majority will always survive a simple strain of covid or flu. If a strain like the Spanish flu comes along... We’re screwed. It killed 3 to 5% of the worlds population. Covid killed 0.0% of the earths population... In fact, our population has substantially increased since 2020.
A world where nobody gets cancer, nobody dies of heart attacks and nobody dies from pneumonia or the flu would be fantastic... But that world does not exist. We need to accept the world that we live in and understand that from the time we enter it... Our demise is the final destination for all of us.
Wearing a stupid mask will not save you.
Go Fxxx Yourself, Apoorva!
And hospital staff are not strapping mandrake root to their foreheads either.
I like to wear an N95 when sanding old paint in my 1965 ranch fixer upper.
Hospitals are incubation centers of infection. Death centers.
“Mx.”? What fresh faggottry is this?
It’s a Mx-ed up world.
Does it say if "it" Grace was vaxxed?
I have spent t a lot of time in hospitals, and efen more frequently in health clinics both for myself, and for others, and am susceptible to lung problems/viruses. I have never gone home from a hospital stay and come down with lung problems/virus. I have caught colds or flu a few times (hospitals are loaded with folks who have flues usually)
Either the health centers and hospitals I’ve been in are exceptionally virus free, or the article is hyping fear.
After modern medicine has kept them alive for 36 years they complain.
