Former President Trump says he “saved” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) from being convicted in his Texas impeachment trial through his “intervention” on the social media platform, Truth Social.
“Yes, it is true that my intervention through TRUTH SOCIAL saved Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton from going down at the hands of Democrats and some Republicans, headed by PAUL RINO (Ryan), Karl Rove, and others, almost all of whom came back to reason when confronted with the facts,” Trump wrote Monday, in reference to former Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and veteran Republican strategist Karl Rove.

Well, okay. I guess.
I think the guy on the stand that admitted there was no evidence was about 99% of that acquittal.
But hey PDJ, throw it against the wall and see if it sticks.
I think it highly likely the Texas RINOs would have convicted Paxton without the light of day being shined on them.
All but one of them voted to impeach.
Why would they not vote to convict if it looked like they were going to discreetly get away with it.
Probably true.
Trump came out immediately upon the announcement of the impeachment and said he will be going after anyone who votes to impeach. Trump absolutely went all in, VERY early for Paxton. He also called out the RINO speaker snd immediately after acquittal called on him to resign. Trump, unlike the wait and see Desanctimonius, has not been on the sidelines on this one. Critique something else.
A legend in his own mind.
When is the Meghan Markel debate so we can really see his genius prowess at work?
Hmmmm….I was thinking it was due to my melting their (TX Senators) ☎️ lines.
The real question: Would Trump as POTUS hire him? Guess which job.
When are you going to come out of the closet?
So -- just having the gist of it is not enough? Good grief; if you tell media and trump-haters all the details, they'll just want more.
Scaroo-em!
So, once again, Trump just latches on and claims credit for anything that might help him, but is equally quick at distancing from anything that won’t. Rather disrespectful to Paxton, Trump wasn’t there, he didn’t do anything to help Paxton.

I suspect we are going to see a lot more FNGs, I have been noticing a few almost every day.

>>So, once again, Trump just latches on and claims credit for anything that might help him,
and coincidentally, every single bad thing that happened on his watch was...you guess it ‘somebody else’s’ fault’
All of the above, I’d bet.
you know that is a very good point. Hadn’t thought about it in that way. Still, I really don’t think Trump had that much to do with his acquittal.
I for one don’t give a damn if Paxton did something wrong or not. If Dems can get a pass, then he gets one too.
It you listen to Trump long enough, that is the pattern.
Trump campaigning against Republicans does have results.
Bless your hearts, where did y’all join your TDS club at, DNC headquarters?
TOTAL BS!
Mr. Trump needs to STFU sometimes, not everything is about him.
