I think the guy on the stand that admitted there was no evidence was about 99% of that acquittal.
But hey PDJ, throw it against the wall and see if it sticks.

I think it highly likely the Texas RINOs would have convicted Paxton without the light of day being shined on them.
All but one of them voted to impeach.
Why would they not vote to convict if it looked like they were going to discreetly get away with it.

Trump came out immediately upon the announcement of the impeachment and said he will be going after anyone who votes to impeach. Trump absolutely went all in, VERY early for Paxton. He also called out the RINO speaker snd immediately after acquittal called on him to resign. Trump, unlike the wait and see Desanctimonius, has not been on the sidelines on this one. Critique something else.

A legend in his own mind.
When is the Meghan Markel debate so we can really see his genius prowess at work?

Trump, a longtime ally of Paxton, did not detail exactly how...So -- just having the gist of it is not enough? Good grief; if you tell media and trump-haters all the details, they'll just want more.

So, once again, Trump just latches on and claims credit for anything that might help him, but is equally quick at distancing from anything that won’t. Rather disrespectful to Paxton, Trump wasn’t there, he didn’t do anything to help Paxton.

So, what explains why the Texas House voted almost unanimously for the Articles of Impeachment against Paxton?
Supposedly they had the evidence as well. Why would they vote for the articles of impeachment if they did not?
If President Trump had next to nothing to do with the Senators voting to acquit Paxton, as you imply, why, with the same evidence, did the House vote for articles of Impeachment, and the Senate for to acquit?

you know that is a very good point. Hadn’t thought about it in that way. Still, I really don’t think Trump had that much to do with his acquittal.
I for one don’t give a damn if Paxton did something wrong or not. If Dems can get a pass, then he gets one too.
