I believe there was a Chinese emperor a long time ago who ordered all books of any kind to be burned. He wanted history to begin with his reign, and all the things that happened before his time were totally unimportant.

If this can be a ‘Christian Nation’, then it can be a ‘Muslim Nation’. If you can take Harry Potter off the shelves then you can take the Bible off the shelves. People want to limit the age at which kids can be exposed to things, but if a 7 year old Jewish kid had to go through it, a 7 year old American kid can darn well be exposed to it in full, horrific detail. If you kill the ‘Fairness Doctrine’, don’t complain that 35 years later your views are ignored by all MSM outlets.
I want everybody to know everything, whenever they might possibly want to learn it, no matter who that makes uncomfortable. If reading history doesn’t sometimes make you uncomfortable or even give you nightmares, you aren’t reading history, you’re reading propaganda.

OMG. Everything published prior to 2008? Most of what has been published since 2008 is garbage. Perhaps it's time to just finish clearing the shelves and close the library. Re-purpose the space. Fire the librarian.
The board let the truth leak out. “…books published prior to 2008 that are …inaccurate…are removed.” He kind of snuck that in there along with the routine reasons for weeding out old books- worn, damaged, etc.
