Brace for it: Energy prices in America are going to get much worse than we’ve ever imagined
American Thinker ^ | 09/10/2023 | Andrea Widburg

Posted on 09/10/2023 7:22:50 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Last week, Joe Biden canceled all drilling in Alaska on federal land. Separate from the fact that no president should have that kind of power over the American economy and lifestyle, he paired it with another executive order that will make fuel more expensive than Americans have ever imagined.

Joe Biden promised during his basement campaign for the presidency that he was going to “end fossil fuel”:

The former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate made the comment Friday after a New Hampshire environmental activist challenged him for accepting donations from the co-founder of liquified natural gas firm.

Biden denied the donor’s association to the fossil fuel industry before calling the young woman “kiddo” and taking her hand. He said, “I want you to look at my eyes. I guarantee you. I guarantee you. We’re going to end fossil fuel.”

Many assumed that Biden was just pandering to the base. He was not. His executive orders have aggressively attacked fossil fuel (although not in China). As part of these orders, Biden immediately placed a moratorium on new oil and gas leases on federal lands.

Again, the Founders never intended to give the executive this much power over every aspect of American life. After all, fossil fuel underlies modern America. It’s not just cars.

Every single thing in your house, including your food and drugs, and in your office place is dependent on fossil fuel. It is an ingredient in the goods we use, as well as the energy that manufactures them and gets them to market. It also enables all modern food production, from planting, to fertilizer, to harvesting, to getting to the grocery store. Without it, we revert to the pre-modern instantly. Yet Biden is slashing away at this fundamental, existential resource like a tyrant.

I hope the poor minorities starve or rise up in armed rebellion. Either one works as long as the demonrat parties base is eliminate. Single white women can skip the rebellion.

Gas prices in the People’s Republic of Minnesota are up better than 40 cents in a week. Things will get really interesting when an increase in gasoline tax kicks in come January. Our socialist legislature indexed the gasoline tax to inflation which will really push prices when Biden inflation reaches double digits next year. I hope all those 81 million people who supposedly voted for sleepy Joe get hammered.

About 30 years ago my theory was they have pledged federal lands on the sly as collateral for continued investment in treasuries or some other financial jiggery-pokery like that. Obviously at the very least they are paid off to lock up federal lands.

I also seem to recall during the Clinton administration they simultaneously placed high quality Utah coal off limits by making a new “national monument” and then made some deal with an Indonesian coal exporter, something like that.

“Energy Policy” since the 1970s has been on CF after another. Stupid, or Evil, take your pick.

If "End fossil fuels" was worth 81,000,000 votes for Biden in 2020, I guess EVEN HIGHER gasoline prices will be worth 91,000,000 votes for Biden in 2024!!!!!

Biden continues to swing his WRECKING BALL as if he ALREADY KNOWS the 2024 election will be STOLEN for him.

FAKE NEWS MEDIA

FAKE ELECTIONS

FAKE PRESIDENT

DISASTROUS CONSEQUENCES.

Prepper Ping - Biden called for a "War on Fossil Fuel" without an adequate power replacement as the Grid can barely support appliances and automobiles even now

(From the article):" Again, the Founders never intended to give the executive this much power over every aspect of American life.
After all, fossil fuel underlies modern America. It’s not just cars."

"Every single thing in your house, including your food and drugs, and in your office place is dependent on fossil fuel.
It is an ingredient in the goods we use, as well as the energy that manufactures them and gets them to market.
It also enables all modern food production, from planting, to fertilizer, to harvesting, to getting to the grocery store.
Without it, we revert to the pre-modern instantly.
Yet Biden is slashing away at this fundamental, existential resource like a tyrant."

(My Opinion): He sells out our national security from our Strategic Petroleum Reserves to a competitor nation without resupplying our reserves,
while that competitor nation continues to build new coal fired power plants at the rate of one each week.
He has eliminated incandescent light bulbs, changed the flow rate of toilets and shower heads, told us to heat our homes with electric, while the electric bills are skyrocketing.
He expects us to comply with electricity as the sole source of power; this creates a power monopoly, and you know what happens to prices during any monopoly.
He has arbitrarily determined the mileage of our combustion engine of automobiles to be increased within seven years, even though the improved technology isn't even here yet.
"Winter Is Coming", and he feels that he has the need to create his legacy ~ but it is not a pretty picture for the immediate future, and even worse further on down the road.
This is a classic case of Federal government "over-reach", where even the strides in technology cannot keep up with the demand.
He should have instead declared a "War on Fossil Fools", and should have retired from government years ago.

We are told to prepare for the increased energy prices, yet if you are on fixed income, how is this supposed to be possible? We are also told that we are to pray for those who are in governing positions. I guess we can do that, but certainly don’t know why we should pray for anything that would give certain ones more power than they have now. That would seem self defeating, yet there are some who actually seem to be working in the public interest. God help us to know how we should pray for those who have control over our lives.

Excellent point. When a leftist tells you what their plans are, believe them. They are evil, envious, destructive, malevolent, vindictive. . . and deadly serious.

Again, the Founders never intended to give the executive this much power over every aspect of American life.

The leases in question are on Federal lands. Whether we like Biden’s decision or not, there’s no getting around the fact that this process works exactly as the Founders designed it.

A better question would be this: Would the Founders have envisioned a scenario where we’d have U.S. states like Alaska where the Federal government holds title to more than 60% of the land mass?

One of the ruling elders in my church repeated each Sunday in prayers that we are supposed to honor and respect the leaders that are ruling us because they have been installed by the Almighty. He’s an elementary school teacher which explains his superficial understanding of everything.

Biblical scholars and clergy have given differing interpretations from Romans 13 that is what the guy in my church was basing his prayers on. The senior pastor at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, (patriot D. James Kennedy’s church) for example, gave an in-depth sermon about this passage and its meaning. He said it had two requirements for moral biblical rulers, and it’s obvious Biden isn’t following either of them.

After weeks of his stupid prayer, my church leader shut up and no longer gives prayers with political overtones. I imagine members of the congregation told him to keep his political opinions to himself.

That would be James Riady, HMFIC of the Lippo Group, and "Friend of Bill". (Clinton, not Wilson).

Check out the writing on the wall behind him.

He paused all drilling leases in June of 2021 so canceling leases now is irrelevant since nothing was happening anyway.

Biden is an inept POS and has no clue what he’s being TOLD to do, he just does it.
