Perhaps there should be a MLK Jr. Memorial Election Day federal holiday. America would get to honor his efforts and not his birthday. Right now, most people don’t get his current holiday off.

You *should* have to show and ID and be verified against registered voter rolls in order to cast a vote.

Before or after-
if you are local, take a break and vote.-
If you received a paycheck, by law in many states, they must give you time to go and cash that check. Why not to vote?-
Have your Non-Voter co-workers cover for an hour or so.
Have your H1-B Visa co-workers cover for you.
Union Labor Rules also give time for folks to go and vote.
