My point is, that if we have to have early voting, campaigns must take this into account and treat the first day of voting as the defacto voting day, you cannot wait until the last day to get your campaign in gear.

Sure...

Get ‘em early so that there won’t be a backlog on the shredder and incinerator at the county offices responsible for coming up with the proper vote count...

Youngkin is exactly right.

******************

Youngkin is right but our idealistic crowd wants honest & fair elections.

“Wish in one hand and shi........”

They need to “play the election game” the way the rules are structured, not look for some utopian election scenario that doesn’t exist.

Won’t make a damn bit of difference. RATs are gonna cheat and have the system rigged.

But yes, vote.

My view is they’ll cheat no matter what. They did it in 1960.

Vote as if it mattered, even if it doesn’t.

Early voting should only be allowed after registration has closed nationwide.

A person should not be able to vote for presidential electors October 26th in Wisconsin and November 2nd in Michigan.

I also believe that election day should be a national holiday. It ensures that most people will have an opportunity to vote.

The election system has been gamed. Until it is no longer gamed, we have to play the game or lose.

But if we vote early, that gives the RATS time to dump a bunch of our votes and make sure they have the extras ballots made out to defeat the Republican.

I voted early and by mail for Trump in Florida in 2020, a state he won by a greater margin than he did in 2016.

If the early voting process (and any assocaited security) is the same as the “on the day” process then I don’t see an issue

Early voting isn’t going away, and mail-in is here to stay, that ship left the port a long time ago, and it isn’t coming back.

If the GOPe is focused on shifting votes from election day to election month, I fail to see what the point is.

The entire reason Rats are focused on mail-in and early voting is because of colossal levels of voting fraud. The reality is, if the GOPe expects to fight back, there are two choices and shifting votes from election day to election month is not one of them. The choices are to gain control of the election process precinct by precinct and state by state and stamp out this very sophisticated multifaceted election fraud or become as good as it as the Rats. Short of that, I expect the GOPe to steadily shrink until it is even less relevant than it has ever been with no hope of ever coming back against the entrenched fraud.

They're like the people here whose solution to all of our country's problems is to "repeal the 19th Amendment" as if this will ever be an option.

VBM is here to stay. Early voting is here to stay. They're not going anywhere.

2 U.S. Code § 7 - Time of election

U.S. Code Notes

The Tuesday next after the 1st Monday in November, in every even numbered year, is established as the day for the election, in each of the States and Territories of the United States, of Representatives and Delegates to the Congress commencing on the 3d day of January next thereafter

Nothing in there about election season or anything other than "day".

We just adopted County-wide polls in 2020

What used a to be a dozen places to vote, was whittled down to 2

It was a schitt show, with people racing across the county after work to cast a ballot when the other polling place was packed to overflow

Took me over an hour, and I can’t stand that long. We took turns sitting on the bumpers of fire trucks as the line moved

I’ll definitely be voting early in ‘24

Problem is the GOP isn’t motivated, because they prefer the status quo.

If they were really serious, they’d also erase all the voter rolls right after every quadrennial election. Everybody would have two years to re-register in person with government ID and proof of residency. Traveling registrars would visit the shut-ins. Everybody else has to register in person at the county voting office.

The rolls are a staggering mess and rife with fraud like 100 people “residing” at the same address and that address is a warehouse.
