Donald Trump remains on top of the polls among Republican presidential candidates, but the gap between the former president and his onetime political protégé could be narrowing following the first GOP debate.
A new poll from Public Opinion Strategies — a polling firm working for the DeSantis' campaign — shows Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis closing in on Trump among Iowa voters.
The poll, obtained by Fox News Digital, interviewed 400 Iowa likely GOP caucus-goers and included a ballot test that saw DeSantis rise from 14% support up to 21% post-debate.
Trump slid by one percentage point, from 42% to 41%.
Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley also saw a large bump in the polls, rising from 3% support to 11% post-debate, while South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott slid from 8% to 7%.
Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy saw the largest slide, dropping from 10% support to 7%. Former Vice President Mike Pence remained at 2% in the poll.

k33p dreaming GE.
LOL thanks for giving me something to laugh about.
Your TDS is so out of control you even post fake news
still 20 points
Golden Pile of Libtard Crap
WOW! Say it ain’t so. And Fox News no less.
“...The poll, obtained by Fox News Digital, ...”
I don’t spam about polls. I don’t believe them. Particularly when what happened in 2020 actually happened. This is the RINO RNC and embedded GOP trying to keep and cherish the second-tier status they so desperately have clung to.
So lets take this poll at face value..
Desantis is at 21 post debate, and Trump is at 41.
So Desantis DOUBLED his numbers overnight (if you believe this poll) and still is down 20 points.
Yea, I’m sure Trump is shaking in his boots over this.
Folks need to come to terms with mathematical reality.. there is absolutely no path available for any GOP candidate other than Trump to be the nominee, and it’s not even going to be close.
When the dust has settled, Trump will be the nominee with well over 60% of the votes cast.
You may not like Trump, you may not support Trump, but that’s the mathematical reality.
“Your TDS is so out of control you even post fake news”
Trump 9 points below 50%.
Sad.
>> “...The poll, obtained by Fox News Digital, ...”
How convenient! MasterDebaters Faux Snooze.
I totally believe it.

“I’m generally skeptical of polls sponsored by a candidate, but...”
Gee, I’m sold on that. NOT!!!
Fox pimping DeSantis and his nowhere, boring candidacy.
You’re the one who is sad and pathetic
Don’t you have a car battery to go suck on?
And if you’re stupid enough to believe this BS, as we’re all quite sure you are, then we have a bridge in Brooklyn we’d like to sell to you.
Cheap.
I wonder of this is a poll taken from the minority that watched the Fox debate instead of the Trump interview with Carlson.
The Meatball has permanently damaged his career. When this primary is over, his wife will divorce him, his kids mock him and the once generous donors will pelt him with rocks for losing their money. Other than that, Rob is a nice guy.
Golden Turd is the one who posted the fake news about Trump signing over his propery to JR
A complete and utter LIE
No, he couldn't!
The fact that Trump is ahead in Iowa shows how strong he is. The bible thumping televangelist clones usually do well in the Iowa caucuses as regular participants aren’t representative of Republicans or likely voters in this state.
Caucus types love their Churchianity and go for candidates like Cruz, Santorum, Huckabee, etc.
Heck, Ronald Reagan LOST in the 1980 Iowa Caucuses, and he actually lived and worked in Iowa (was a radio announcer in Des Moines back in the day)! But, Ronald Reagan was divorced and was a democrat in his youth, so the Churchianity types didn’t like that.
