The real problem with racism in America today is that demand far outstrips supply. Where does the demand come from? Chiefly from our woke elites. It is they who understand that the charge of “racism” is a potent meal ticket and guarantor of institutionalized political power. Accordingly, they have a large stake in perpetuating the reign of racism. In this realm, too, incentives matter.
It is also worth noting that many of these elite race cadets are white. Blacks are invited to participate in this theatrical production, but only so long as they play their assigned roles. They must mouth the pieties about “systemic,” i.e., perpetual, incurable racism.
The main narrative of this drama is racial conflict, enforced and perpetuated partly by a woke media machine, partly by governmental fiat. The real goal is the destruction of America as a meritocratic republic that cherishes individual liberty and the rule of law.
These are points that Thomas D. Klingenstein makes in “Racism in America Today: A Real or Manufactured Problem?”, a powerful speech he delivered at the Women’s National Republican Club earlier this summer and just posted on his website at tomklingenstein.com.
“To a very significant degree,” he argues, racism is a weapon “crafted by woke Leftists in order to overthrow the American way of life.”
Klingenstein, chairman of the Claremont Institute, is refreshingly forthright. “To the woke Left I say, ‘if you want to destroy America, then we will fight you and defeat you. America is not yours to destroy.’” Hear, hear.
This speech is full of hard truths.
“Blacks commit more than 50% of the violent crime in America,” Klingenstein notes, “yet are only about 13% of population.

I, too, thought it was a clever line.
Somebody on television said a while back that America is so ‘racist’ that Jussie Smollett had to hire two Black Africans to pretend to assault him, to prove it.
Rev. Jackson and Al Sharpton: But there is soooooo much money in it. We hate to see it go. That post-racial America may break out at any moment.
I dunno, I see a lot of violent black women in the news. I've even read that black women commit more murders per capita than white men.
That could be right on, but I’m not up to speed on those two groups.
Mass incarceration worked. Obama began to reverse this policy because it was deemed racist. As reparation, blacks essentially are handed a get out of jail free card. It’s no wonder that a vast crime wave is sweeping the country. At some point, there will be a counter reaction. Maybe.

There’s plenty of racism.
It’s against white people.
There’s even “institutional” racism.
There are Fed contracts w/preference for minority owned businesses but not white owned ones.

Yours and mine both! Totally on point.
Cultural identity... not race. A common agreement on what it means to be a citizen, not Tribalism.
The kingdom to come will have every tribe, tongue, and nation. Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
There’s lots of racism coming from the black side.. You see it everyday..
If there were no Blacks, there would be no racism
Imagine...no Al Sharpton....
Great cash cow
Ever since I've paid attention to politics (going back to the 1970s), I've noticed that conservatives love to attack "white liberals." They love to say, "The real problem is white liberals."
I think they do it to prove they're not racist. "See? I'm attacking white people too!" And don't it feel good!
But contrary to your image, most blacks are not saying, "I'm not oppressed!" A few Thomas Sowells and Clarence Thomases. But what ... 92% vote Democrat?
Conservatives are desperate to believe the problem is overwhelmingly white leftists. Desperate to believe that blacks and Latinos and everyone else is "a natural conservative." It's even led to a popular joke:
What do you call a black at a conservative conference?
