The real problem with racism in America today is that demand far outstrips supply. Where does the demand come from? Chiefly from our woke elites. It is they who understand that the charge of “racism” is a potent meal ticket and guarantor of institutionalized political power. Accordingly, they have a large stake in perpetuating the reign of racism. In this realm, too, incentives matter.
It is also worth noting that many of these elite race cadets are white. Blacks are invited to participate in this theatrical production, but only so long as they play their assigned roles. They must mouth the pieties about “systemic,” i.e., perpetual, incurable racism.
The main narrative of this drama is racial conflict, enforced and perpetuated partly by a woke media machine, partly by governmental fiat. The real goal is the destruction of America as a meritocratic republic that cherishes individual liberty and the rule of law.
These are points that Thomas D. Klingenstein makes in “Racism in America Today: A Real or Manufactured Problem?”, a powerful speech he delivered at the Women’s National Republican Club earlier this summer and just posted on his website at tomklingenstein.com.
“To a very significant degree,” he argues, racism is a weapon “crafted by woke Leftists in order to overthrow the American way of life.”
Klingenstein, chairman of the Claremont Institute, is refreshingly forthright. “To the woke Left I say, ‘if you want to destroy America, then we will fight you and defeat you. America is not yours to destroy.’” Hear, hear.
This speech is full of hard truths.
“Blacks commit more than 50% of the violent crime in America,” Klingenstein notes, “yet are only about 13% of population.

Almost all black crime is by young black males, so the real number is 13%/4 = 3.25% of the population. Victor D Hanson makes this point all the time.
No noose is no news.
“The real problem with racism in America today is that demand far outstrips supply.”
That’s my new money quote on the topic.
I absolutely blame one Barack Hussein Obama for the state of race relations in this country. It was intentional and planned. I’m just surprised it worked so quickly and so well. It is a national tragedy.
Race baiters do it for the money.
My tagline sums it up.
Racism is manufactured in our colleges, universities, entertainment industry and corporations through DIE.
Oh yes. And our military too
Racism is not dead, but it is on life support - kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as racists.”
Thomas Sowell
The further blacks get away from their Democrat controlled urban ghettos the less racism I have
And the reason supply far outstrips demand is because we have made being discriminated against, oppressed or victimized lucrative, emotionally satisfying and exculpatory as to personal success.
The other day I was giving racism some consideration.
I think the real problem is that we allow the Left to frame
this debate in such a way that it allows them to game it. For
instance they are now saying you can’t be racist against
Whites. Of course that’s nonsense, but why?
Racism is not the issue. The issue is Bias. Racism is simply
one form of bias. People are biased because of someone else’s
skin color, race, or even home.
If you went to high-school and had a robust booster club
for your high school team, you know that bias was always
an issue for the visiting team. You likely disliked them
and they likely disliked you. Some of you probably saw
through this dynamic, and realized it was stupid.
I consider this the same as racism. Racism is bias due
to something the other person can’t change. High-school
kids can’t help where they are from. Black or White people
can’t help their color. Heredity is something else you
can’t control.
Bias, is to be biased against someone. You can be biased
against Blacks. You can be biased against Whites.
During the last week, the Leftists have been trying to
say that White invented racism. Yes, that was right after
we invented water, rain, oceans, and dry land. Nonsense!
Bias has been around for thousands of years. It’s not going
anywhere. Man invented it. Which color was that man? No
one knows. I personally think it was invented by Satan,
but then this introduces another avenue of bias.
Refuse to play their little racist game. Tell them that
bias comes in a number of different forms, and to pick out
one group and dislike them based on something they can’t
control is bias.
Blacks can be biased against Whites. Blacks can be
biased against other Blacks. Look at Chicago.
Look at Ireland and the infighting between White groups.
We should all be ashamed for having unreasonable bias
against others, because there are reasons to be biased,
and yet not universally across the board. We must keep
things in the proper perspective.
We much not allow the Left to create the Marxist paradigm
that sees it be okay to be biased against others for flawed
reasons.
The very people who saw the evils of bias, and are angry
it every existed, now want to be the masters they saw as
so evil in recent memory.
They should be ashamed also.
Oprah had a show on in the late 80s where she asked the
question, “Is racism still alive today?”
I knew right then and there that racism was scheduled for
a revival.
Look at the Hutus and Tutsis in Rhwanda.
>>“Blacks commit more than 50% of the violent crime in America,” Klingenstein notes, “yet are only about 13% of population.
It’s really more like 50/3.
That 50% of the violent crime is overwhelmingly done by black males between the ages of 15 and 40 or 45.
It’s all manufactured
New tagline
I just don’t see racism. There’s a gas station chain near me that sells barrels of coffee every morning. People of all colors and sexes go out of their way to hold the door for others.
Just today I was at the car wash. I grabbed the tire cleaner spray bottle. A black guy ran over and told me it was tire shine not windex. He anticipated what I was going to do and stopped me. If he thought I was racist he would have let me suffer my error.
The other day I watched a reaction video to Try that in a Small Town. The black YouTube guy watched the entire song without comment, looked at the camera and said “Huh?.”
He saw no racism.
