Michael Oher, the former NFL offensive lineman and inspiration for the 2009 box office success "The Blind Side," told a Tennessee judge on Monday that contrary to the film version of his life he was never adopted by the Tuohy family, and alleged that the family earned millions from the story.
Oher, now 37, has petitioned a Shelby County judge to revoke the conservatorship from the Tuohys, arguing that he's old enough to handle his own business affairs. The Tuohys "have falsely and publicly represented themselves as the adoptive parents of Michael," the petition claims.
In "The Blind Side," Lee Anne Tuohy was portrayed by Sandra Bullock, while Sean Tuohy was played by Tim McGraw.
"Since at least August of 2004, Conservators have allowed Michael, specifically, and the public, generally, to believe that Conversators adopted Michael and have used that untruth to gain financial advantages for themselves and the foundations which they own or which they exercise control," the petition alleges.

Michael Oher Says Tuohy Family Never Adopted Him, Tricked Him, Took Blind Side Money
Why would they? He was already almost 18.
Once a...
Blind Side was a good movie.
I remember he was pretty mad about the film when it came out. I have never watched and I don’t know much about the guys actual life \. Did it make him look bad?
Maybe Tim McGraw's character should have left him in the laundromat eating out of the garbage.
I’m in pain. Who saw this one coming???
Who is “blind sided” now?
I never saw the movie but I read a comment about there not being anything about him being technically adopted in the film. Is this true? Is it in the book?
“Did it make him look bad?”
No, but this does.
He was brought into a loving family and wasn’t he given tools to have an amazing life?
Whose fault is it that he didn’t move upward with those gifts?????
Nice tune.
He may have a case. If they were the conservators of his estate, and made the decisions that they should’ve been putting all that money back that he was entitled to do a trust fund and investments. But is this the same old typical thing they spirit, and left him nothing I wanna see all the facts of this case
I miss America.
“Almost immediately after Michael moved in, the Tuohys presented him with what he understood to be legal papers that were a necessary step in the adoption process,” the petition alleges. “Michael trusted the Tuohys and signed where they told him to sign.”
And I don’t think any state would allow an unrelated child to just move in with a family without legal paperwork.
He never wanted the movie to be made. Everyone in the movie, except an opposing player and the father of that player, was made to look really good in the flick. There was one teacher who seemed like a d-bag at first but eventually came around.
Nick Saban, Philip Fulmer, Lou Holtz, Tommy Tupperville and Ed Orgeron are all in the movie
Reminds me of Colin Kraperdick, who turned on the white parents who raised him.
So do I.
I’m watching all the Miami Vice shows again.
A White family at that, who had a little girl at the time.
