Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) offered an apology Saturday “for the appearance” of disrespecting children who died in the Uvalde shooting, after footage of the congresswoman discarding a tribute pin for one of the victims prompted a wave of harsh criticism.
“If anyone thinks that I was disrespecting a child who tragically lost their lives at the hands of an evil, evil person, I want to apologize for the appearance of that. But that’s not at all what it was,” she said.
In a video that circulated late last week, an activist appears to hand Boebert a pamphlet and a pin. The pin honored one of the 19 children who died in a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

It’s a nothing burger.
Just another Media "Gotcha!!" moment.
Yep.
When you apologize you lose.
Yep.
Never apologize..
Drive by mediots.
According to the article two gun controlling “activists” handed Boebert a pin and pamphlet which Boebert discarded.
Remember when the father of the Parkland victims pushed his way to Kavanaugh unannounced during the hearings and tried to shake his hand? Its similar to that
Some gun control idiot hands her their propaganda. I hope she did toss it. And stunts like this are just that... stunts.
Is it my imagination that anyone w/an R next to it always has to apologize about something? Even if it’s nothing.
On the other hand, if you ignore false accusations, they become accepted as true when your enemy owns the media.
Never apologize to the left.
Never apologize. Cut the virtue signaling. It just shows that you feel and don’t think.
“Pelosi could have taken a dump on a picture of all the Uvalde victims on live TeeVee, and the Media wouldn’t say a word.
Just another Media “Gotcha!!” moment.”
We have a winner. And then we will have Freepers who join the media choir and demand she adhere to these civility rules just set by the Democrats.
Say the line, Duke Wyane.
Then what was it? Here locally (San Antonio) there was plenty of outrage (harrumph harrumph) over what Boebert did. I don't really care. But it was bad optics. Maybe someone just handed off a pin and like all other items she must get on a daily basis - it went in file 13 without a second thought.
Unless there was a serious ceremonial moment behind this - I would have tossed it also.
Nobody could possibly disrespect the victims more than their own lousy government and police department.
I generally treat people the same way they treat me (unless you are a blog pimp)...
If someone doesn’t like the way I treat them, take a look in the mirror.
I fail to understand why we don’t take that attitude.
