Ahead of a looming UPS nationwide strike, Teamsters union President Sean O’Brien said during a rally speech in Atlanta Saturday, “We’ve organized, strategized, now it’s time to pulverize.”
UPS pilots vow to not cross strike picket lines
Speaking with CNN’s Isabel Rosales, O’Brien said 95% of the contract has been negotiated, and “now we’re down to economics, and UPS knows they need to pay our members, especially the part-timers.”
A UPS spokesperson has said part-timers receive the same benefits as full-time workers. However, they do make less than full-time employees who make, on average, $95,000 a year, as CNN previously reported. Part-timers start by earning $16.20 an hour and are eligible for a higher hourly rate after 30 days. On average, part-time workers make $20 an hour, according to the spokesperson.

Low skill job making $95k a year?
Lol
Tell me, how is a union any different from a mob?
Good luck
Brownshirts...
FedEx dhl and USPS won’t be able to keep up. It’s going to cause problems.
Well played... If somewhat obvious... now that you mention it... :)
UPS makes a lot of deliveries for the friends of Joe Biden in the Pharma Industry so this strike situation needs to be seen in perspective.
Conservatives and Patriots learned Pharma was our enemy during COVID and in bed with Biden’s Democrats.
The smearing of RFK Jr. alone right now should tell you what the playing field looks like.
To help Pharma Biden is likely to force an end to any strike.
Yep.
Yep. Sounds a bit thuggish to me.
“Tell me, how is a union any different from a mob?”
IMHO, a Mob has more integrity and couth than any union, especially the lowlife Teamsters, a union I was forced twice to join and got screwed by them each time.
The government made a deal with the mob to allow them to take over the Unions in order to kick out the Communists.
What a gift for FedEx and Amazon.
That is true, however, during the pandemic when everyone was working from home and to a large extent that has not changed.
UPS has been reporting record profits, while the unions have been living under the old contract.
UPS is going to have to pay up to keep from avoiding a strike.
Let’s be realistic, regardless of what employees earn, they’re very few employees who would say, I’m good no need to pay me more when the company is reporting record profits.
Whether it’s UPS, Fedex, Amazon, DHL, USPS, or some other delivery service, is there one that doesn’t deliver for Joe Biden and the Pharma industry. The point is, when it comes to delivery services, you only have so many options. If you boycott one because of their politics, you might as well boycott all of them because they are all the same, they pick up packages and deliver them to end user.
Feel free to apply and do it then
I sense the Teamsters intends to bankrupt UPS. Union management will then take over ownership in a Fed.gov sponsored bailout.
Didn’t we see the same with GM in 2009?
Maybe someone can arrange for this guy to join Jimmy Hoffa.
