In a historic move, a Jan. 6 prisoner has taken his challenge of the infamous obstruction charge, levied against him and hundreds of other Jan. 6 prisoners and defendants, all the way to the Supreme Court.
On July 7, attorneys for Jan. 6 prisoner Edward Jacob (Jake) Lang filed a document with the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) challenging the government’s obstruction of Congress charge—one of the most common felony charges used against Jan. 6 defendants—which carries a 20-year prison sentence.
“We filed what’s called a writ of certiorari, or a request to the Supreme Court to hear an issue,” Norm Pattis, lead attorney for Mr. Lang, told The Epoch Times. Mr. Pattis explained that the legal team is asking the high court to review the details behind Mr. Lang’s alleged violation of Title 18 U.S. Code Section 1512(c)(2), one of the 11 charges against him, according to court documents (pdf).

When I learned of those just protesting outside the Capitol were being sentenced to multiple-year sentences in prison, is when I knew that actual justice in our nation is no more. We had thugs being released without bond and eventually sentenced to only probation or having their charges dismissed altogether after the riots in the summer of 2020. It was “peaceful protests” insisted the media as entire blocks of cities burned and LEO’s were injured.
Judges played along and ruled that the First Amendment gave them the right to destroy businesses and harm others. Many of those same judges have done a 180 when it comes to those that were in DC on January 6, 2021. For THAT protest was the most harmful one ever held according to the media and the judges. The Supreme Court needs to take this case and smack down the D.C. judges and prosecutors who are doing the progressive left’s bidding.
Once a nation has two standards of justice based upon your political views, that’s when you know that nation is destined for destruction.

Americans really don’t stand a chance in Federal Courts. They only exist so foreigners, freeloaders, and invaders are guaranteed their American Constitutional rights.
One big difference The courts doing the releases are local courts. The Jan 6 people are in federal court. And while there are some local folks had charges dropped, the more serious actions were charged.
Another stolen election and the next “insurrection” at the Capitol could resemble the storming of the Bastille.

Perhaps- for normal issues of American decline/ collapse into tyranny- but the 2020 election and related is a third rail of judicial survival. The USA is a post-legal polity at this point- it is not as if the SC matters in any meaningful sense- Biden ignored the SC ruling via student loan forgiveness almost immediately- there will be no blowback.

That is what the Obama years made plain.
It is why I’ve been promoting an Article V Convention of the States. While a COS guarantees nothing, our demise is certain if we continue to rely on elections to restored free government.
The supreme court has shown that it has no interest in things like this. Not even the “Conservative Justices”. They believe the elections were fair and that everything the government has done in regards to the election is on the up and up. They certain don’t believe that J6 was a setup.
