Kari Lake: ‘I believe I’m the only one who can win’ Arizona Senate race
The Hill ^ | 07/15/2023 | Jared Gans

Former Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake said she believes she is the only candidate who could win next year’s Arizona Senate race as she weighs whether to join the contest.

Lake said while commenting The Family Leadership Summit, a conservative, Christian conference held in Iowa, that she will decide whether she will run for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s (I-Ariz.) Senate seat in the next few months, potentially making a decision in the fall, NBC News reported.

More likely she’s the only one who could lose to Sinema.

What is the current wisdom out there regarding this race?

“as she weighs whether to join the contest.”

As a D, I or R?

Not much evidence to support her statement.

Not as long as the Voter Fraud and Ballot Tampering continues unabated.

No Republican, or even Conservative, much less Kari Lake can win Arizona from here on unless those in control of the state’s election system are ALL replaced.

Since the state’s governor is a Democrat ( who won because of a rigged voting system), the chances of Kari Lake winning are slim. ☹️😒

The only way I can see her winning is if Sinema runs as an independent and a Democrat runs to make it a three way race and splits the votes on the left

That's what I think. Even here at FR we see some degree of respect for Sinema. Perhaps Lake ought to wait and see if Trump picks her as Veep?

Nearly every politician claims similar about their races. They seldom say ‘vote for me even though I can’t win’.

The political machine that denied Lake the governorship will likely try to deny her the senate seat.

Mostly up in the air. Only radical D congressman Gallego has committed.

Sinema —now Independant— would certainly split the left’s vote if she runs, opening doors for Rs. Lake would love to be a VP pick, but that’s far from certain as well, thus her delay in committing to a senate run. imho.

Ducey (ex-gov), Robson ( lost to Lake in primary) will not run. Blake Masters (lost to astronaut Kelley) should get in, if Lake does not.

Lake would eat Gallego’s lunch in the campaign, but some here dislike Lake same as Trump. Gallego is out of D mainstream and would win only with strong ballot harvest and other cheats.

End of day finds an R pickup in AZ, with or without Sinema.

And I’ve never been wrong /s

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb is running. He has a lot of support.

Enough with the black conservatives. With the exception of Tim Scott, who was the Republican candidate in a red state, black convervatives routinely lose. Blacks will not vote for them, and some older whites who normally vote Republican vote against them. This dopey notion among the GOP-e that blacks will vote for a black Republican never materializes. For every black voter they attract, they lose 2 white voters. Just ask Herschel Walker (and Kari Lake).

As to Kari Lake, she has been tagged as a sore loser and will lose because of that alone. I sympathize for her. However, history shows that sore losers rarely make comebacks, while those, like Nixon and Reagan, who gracefully accept defeat, are rewarded.

Lamb and Lake are political allies. I am thinking they won’t run for the same position and destroy each other in the primary.

Recall now, that a Pinal Co. sheriff, MAGA type, is interested in Senate run, or may have already committed. Good guy. Not much statewide name recognition at this point.
