We should be disbanding NATO, not adding new members to American’s endless guarantees of security for foreign nations. We are broke unto the nth generation, it’s time to stop pretending otherwise.

NATO was established to be a hedge against war of Russian expansionism from Eastern Eurpose by creating a strong and ready defense in Western Europe.
Now we are fighting a proxy war started over NATO expansionism from Western Europe into Eastern Europe right to the borders of Russia . Seems someone forgot the real mission.

Joe Biden should quote that Famous Animal House line to Zelensky.
“You f—d up. You trusted us.”

3 women and 1 man were killed in a Russian missile strike against the town of Orikhiv yesterday.

NATO was established to give the U.S. an excuse to maintain a permanent military occupation of Western Europe after two devastating wars. It had little, if anything, to do with actually defending Europe against the Soviets. One strong piece of evidence for this is that the Warsaw Pact was created in 1955 after
the Soviet Union had its request to join NATO rejected.
The strongest evidence for this is that NATO even exists at all in 2023.

Zelvis can speed up entry into NATO, but only by ceding the eastern provinces to Russia.
Ukraine has basically turned into a giant money-Laundromat masquerading as a country.
It can try to recover by restarting as a smaller state.
As long as they can continue to use what remains to enrich themselves, neocons will reluctantly go along with that.

This war has been going on since 2014. The Ukrainian government has been shelling the separatists in the Donbas for almost ten years. They claim that over 13,000 have been killed by indiscriminate attacks.

I suspect one reason why NATO doesn’t want Ukraine right now is that other NATO countries (Poland and Romania, I believe) have claims on parts of Ukraine’s territory.
By the time this fiasco is over, Ukraine might be admitted to NATO after its land mass has been reduced to the size of a former Yugoslav republic.

They probably could get away with everything south and east of the Dnieper now, because that’s all Russia really wants. But Russia is also going to want a buffer state with no NATO presence, period.
Also, NATO’s been defanged except for airplanes, so who care, right?

Reagan seems to be a talking point with warpigs, but history shows he embraced Peace with Russia.

That cartoon has it all wrong.
Reagan never would have supported pushing a puppet regime into war with Russia. He never would have taken millions of dollars under the table from Ukraine only to leave them high and dry.
Reagan would be effectively working for peace. Instead of inflaming the circumstances from the White House.

Since the Trotskyite war lovers want to claim that Reagan would support Biden’s War, let’s ask the same question Reagan would have asked:
“What would Coolidge do?”

You're full of Horse manure, Reagan accomplished the peaceful dissolution of the Soviet Union using trustworthy statesmanship and diplomacy, without firing a shot or joining with Nazis.
