Let’s suppose, for a minute, that DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) is coming to the NBA. What would it look like?
Permit me to fantasize a bit to answer the question above. I’m a far left-wing, socialist kook, a multi-gazillionaire who got that way because of free market capitalism. But I believe everybody ought to be equal, except not equal to me, of course, so socialism is the answer for the world. Regardless, I am firmly committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. That is my religion. I believe it, and since I’ve bought the most powerful government in the world, I’m going to make you believe it, too. If you don’t like it, go buy yourself your own government.
But it does get a little bit boring being a puppet master to degenerate, demented, decadent octogenarian politicians, so I decided to branch out. I intend to buy an NBA team. I’m going to locate it in Thailand, and I will name my team the Thailand Ladyboys. DEI, you know. And, because I am totally committed to DEI, that is exactly what my team will be composed of (Ladyboys, etc.). So, since inclusiveness is essential, and I need 12 players on my team, here is who will be on it: two ladyboys, one CCP member, one transgender man (other than ladyboys), a black woman, a white woman, a Hispanic woman, a five-year-old mutilated child, one black man, a migrant (who is illegally in America, of course), an anti-Catholic drag queen nun from California, and a non-binary homeless person of indistinguishable composition. No white men, you say? Well, I’ve got that covered. I will hire Pete Buttigieg as my coach. He knows as much about basketball as he does about transportation. China owns Venezuela now and is trading directly with Saudi. Iran won’t help the USA and there are no other Major oil suppliers. It will take two years to gear up the American Oil Industry. Joe and the Marxist Dems have the USA against the wall in a shooting war in the Far East over Taiwan and China knows it.

Maybe, but it will eventually work it self out and in the end China will still be Chinese, Japan will still be Japanese, Korea will still be Korean, etc. while the West will be strangers in their own previously 1st world countries.
China is headed for a tough ride just ahead.

report a week or two ago that stated it’s population
may drop by half.

I don’t have any problem with a government that tries for equal *opportunity* for all; I don’t want a government that *favors* white people.

You do want a government that honors white people for their accomplishments and bans any discrimination against them for any reason.
That means no fake “black history” or “latino history” that overstates accomplishments of those groups to make them feel better about themselves.
I want a government that doesn’t honor or favor anyone. Just leaves them the hell alone.
I get that ‘Black’ is a point of “pride” because many of them don’t have the advantage of knowing what homeland they came from (maybe DNA testing will take care of this?). I mean I’m of Irish descent, my wife Scottish, my oldest friend Sicilian, etc; but a lot of them *only* have “black” as a heritage when I’m prattling drunkenly about when I want to Carrick-On-Shannon or seeing my wife’s Clan on parade.....
Green is the only color that matters as far as I am concerned.
Personally, I think it stupid to be “proud” of being white, American, heterosexual, male, or anything else I didn’t have anything to do with. I’m *GLAD* as hell to be all of those, but why be ‘proud’ of something you didn’t achieve through your own efforts?
No, in the end we will beat China after thousands of useless unnecessary casualties. The conflict will take 3 times as long to finish as it should have.
