Bud Light sales continued to plunge as the nation’s No. 1 beer brand continues to lose share to runner-up Modelo Especial — but its sister brands are beginning to recover from the disastrous marketing partnership with Dylan Mulvaney.
Sales of Bud Light dropped 24.4% in the week ended June 3 — slightly worse than the 23.9% decline over the previous week which had included steep discounting over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to data from Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ.
Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch’s Michelob Ultra — the nation’s third-biggest brand by sales — turned positive for the first time in weeks with a 0.7% sales increase versus a 0.1% decline the previous week. Elsewhere, Anheuser-Busch beers continued to drop, although at a slower rate.

So many new breweries, so little time! Bud shoulda read the tea leaves
and modelo sucks
negra modelo is good.
Was in a 7-11 the other day they had Modelo and Bud Light stacked 6 feet tall side by side. The Bud Light 12 pack cans were $10.99 with $1 instant coupon. So 83 cents a can (plus tax and the aluminum can fee our state charges). Good price. Still didn’t buy it. Wasn’t looking to buy beer.
Folks should try making their own brew.. Me and some pals did it for years, it's very tasty..
We haven't done it in a long time, nobody comes around anymore.. I guess we all got too old, fat and lazy... :(
Yeah, not a fan of Modelo. Pacifico is tastier. Same brewery. But, both are AB brands (more or less - I think they own 95% of Modelo brewery not sure if they have the US distribution rights though).
The sales figures lead me to believe that a lot of legal immigrants/illegal aliens who like beer don’t much care for trannies.
Pssst ...
The “rival” brand is owned by the same company.
It is. I like Dos Equis (also not InBev) better. But if at a Mexican restaurant, just get old school (not syrups or mixes) margaritas anyway.
bohemia is excellent
There is a lot of good Mexican beer out there. Dos Equis is great when eating at a Mexican restaurant.
Exactly! I’m no longer going to put money in your left pocket. I’m going to put it in your right. Pure ignorance.
Buttwiper and Modelo are both owned by Inbev. They're competing "brands" but the contribute to the same bottom line.
Smart people would figure that out and boycott ALL Inbev brands. But we don't live in a world of smart people ...
I love a cold Dos Equis poured into an icy mug on a hot day. I have (part of) a six-pack in my fridge right now.
Local grocery has Bud Light for sale with $15.00 rebate
Modelo Negra here..for years.
I quit drinking 41 years ago, but I used to drink Corona because it was cheap. Everyone up here drinks Keystone or Koekane.
i looked this up when all this started cuz i was hearing both
inbev owns modelo
they dont own modelo
i may be fuzzy on this but what i recall is inbev bought modelo but as part of the deal they had to give up the us sales of modelo
i believe us sales are constellation(?) brands not part of inbev
anyone else read this?
