Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is polling in the teens again, approaching his all-time low in the Republican primary field, which originally came on May 13th 2023. That was a full month after the first Trump indictment, which suggests the effect of this second case against the former President may hamper DeSantis for weeks to come. A Morning Consult tracker now sees Trump at 59 percent in the Republican primary, a full 40 points ahead of his nearest competitor, DeSantis (19). The rest of the field lags further behind, with Mike Pence on eight, Tim Scott on four, and the rest (Haley, Ramaswamy, Christie, Hutchinson, Bergum) pulling in 10 points, in total, between them. Ron DeSantis has not gained any ground at all since his campaign launch, and is struggling to make his mark on the Republican Primary. A full 25 percent of the Republican likely voter base said they would not be willing to consider DeSantis as their nominee. Just 14 percent said the same for Trump. At the beginning of 2023, DeSantis actually commanded a lead on the question “Who would you vote for, Joe Biden vs. DeSantis or Trump?” He outperformed Trump up until his campaign launch (and a shadow campaign), and has lagged behind since.
While Trump also has the highest voter favorables according to Morning Consult, Chris Christie has the lowest.

Trump better hope he keeps getting persecuted and prosecuted, eh?

No, actually, it’s a case of the more people get to know DeSantis the less they like him.
DeSantis will be looking for a way to get indicted by the Biden DOJ. Somebody lend him some ultra-sensitive top-secret military documents; stat!
Maybe he can steal the Hunter Biden laptop from the FBI? That’s the most protected stash of secrets ever!
His collapse is unparalleled in American 🇺🇸 history. We tried to warn him about his friends.
Yea, I don’t know if i can look at it fairly since I didnt want him to win from thr jump but he doesn’t seem likable and comes off as someone trying to play part
Is Ron going to take after Yeb! and start selling $75 guac bowls?
I used to think he would be good in 2028 but now that I’ve seen him in action I don’t think he’s suited to be president, ever.
DeSantis lost me when he went back on his pledge to serve out his term as Governor. We’ve got enough politicians who do such things.
But then having the old guard Establishment (Uniparty) Republicans back him was the final straw.
That is an interesting comment.
Can you provide a link to the pledge to which you refer?
(DeSantis lost me when he went back on his pledge to serve out his term as Governor.)
Precisely! He showed himself as an opportunist. He was encouraged to run by the establishment and he didn’t put the Floridians first and have the courage to tell the elites no.
POS!! Coward SOB!! I am so pissed right now I can’t see straight! EFFIN RINOS!!!
“all time low”
...with one month of data.
Sure. Ok.
If RdS has a pulse after his Uniparty co conspirators kangaroo court Trump out of the race, he will be served up the nomination on a silver platter.
I never seem to get an answer to that question either
His collapse is unparalleled in American 🇺🇸 history.
Meh. Trump’s has his beat, hands down.
I think the “old guard establishment Republicans” would back anybody as long as it wasn’t Trump.
Trump wants to win; They don’t.
They’re content to sit back and let the Democrats run us into the ground as long as they can still go to their parties with their celebrity friends.
