In the three months since Jimmy Carter entered hospice, the 98-year-old former president is enjoying visits from family members, fielding updates on his humanitarian foundation and eating peanut butter ice cream at the modest single-story home in Georgia he shares with his wife, his grandson said.
Carter’s grandson Jason Carter provided the update on his grandfather after the 39th president entered end-of-life care at his Plains home in February “instead of additional medical intervention” after a series of short hospital stays.
“They’re just meeting with family right now, but they’re doing it in the best possible way: the two of them together at home,” Jason Carter said Tuesday of his grandparents Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. “They’ve been together 70-plus years.”

Maybe Mr. Carter made that big announcement of Home based Hospice treatment too early. 3 months later, and still ‘sleeping soundly’? Oh well. It’s not like he has to worry about the expense.
Never forget:
He can still run again for President!..................
If a senile Biden can get elected while hiding in his basement, why couldn’t Carter, who is more alert than Biden, be elected while in hospice?
My mother was in hospice for over 4 months. I don’t think the dying person is required to meet a deadline, so to speak.
Yes......some things are outside the political spectrum.....and the impending passing away of a family member certainly is one.
3 months is the outside window for hospice care.
He is still stuck in the malaise of the late 70s. He will never die.
He is really going for the “# of times of reported death” so he can take the title from his long time friend Yasser Arafat. FR admin types hardest hit.
Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead................Film at eleven............
When circumstances change, there are even a few who get discharged from hospice.
The old giant rabbit killer is still more coherent than Biden,Fetterman, and Feinstein!
My FIL was in hospice nearly a year, the only criteria to stay on was a non -treatable illness and noted decline at each 3-month reevaluation. He had dementia so the mental/physical decline was obvious.
I pray the evil old dude finds Jesus and repents or his afterlife is going to be very bad.
Only the good die young. Can’t wait for the spin job the media does on this pig’s wasted existence when he finally goes to that great dictatorship in hell.
Agreed.
I don’t think he will, he is WAY too old!
Sometimes we set politics aside, as we should.
> Prayers to President Carter and his family. <
Yes, indeed. Some folks point out Carter’s many flaws. True that. But he governed as classical liberal. Lots of serious mistakes, but nothing evil. I wish him and his family well.
Side story: I was having lunch with some co-workers on the day that Ronald Reagan passed away. One of them was quite happy to hear that Reagan was dead. He listed all the terrible things that Reagan had supposedly done. Good riddance to that trash!
My co-worker could not show even the slightest bit of respect for a decent human being. I almost lost control. I almost hit that guy. That was the closest I ever came to starting a fight.
Biden isn’t worthy to shine Jimmy Carter’s shoes.
He lived long enough to become the fourth worst President in modern history.
