Derek Chauvin appeals conviction in George Floyd murder to Minnesota Supreme Court

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis Police Officer convicted in the murder of George Floyd, is appealing his case to the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Chauvin’s lawyer, William Mohrman, on Wednesday filed a petition for review with the state’s highest court, arguing that the district judge’s decision not to move the proceedings out of the city deprived his client of a fair trial.

The petition comes a month after the Minnesota Court of Appeals upheld Chauvin’s conviction for second-degree murder and let his 22-1/2-year sentence remain in place.

Morhman had unsuccessfully asked the appeals court to throw out the ex-officer’s conviction for a long list of reasons, including the massive pretrial publicity. But the three-judge panel sided with prosecutors, who said Chauvin got a fair trial and just sentence.

Chauvin raises several of those arguments again in his latest appeal.

RE: Derek Chauvin appeals conviction in George Floyd murder to Minnesota Supreme Court

He’s not going to win. All the BLM has to do is to HREATEN the members of the Supremem Court or to threaten another riot, and his appeal is DOA.

I wonder how he is holding up in prison? The inmates are likely majority black, some of which might have been put there because of their crimes which he discovered and arrested them for. With the animosity towards him as high as it was thanks to the lies and fecklessness of the spineless jury who be.eived the lies while ignoring the facts, I would imagine he is not faring too well.

Daniel Penny, the subway hero who stopped criminal black with a long rap sheet - is bound to get the same treatment in front of a New York jury:

“Daniel Penny is, a twenty-four-year-old college student and decorated Marine veteran, facing a criminal investigation stemming from him protecting individuals on a NYC subway train from an assailant who later died.”

Hopefully he is in administrative segregation

“Administrative Segregation. This type of restricted housing is not disciplinary in nature. Sometimes it is used during pending investigations or when continued presence in the general population could pose a particular safety concern.”

It is not possible for Chauvin to get a fair trial, no where in America. The jury and judge are cowed by the hard left into submission.

Absolutely, but I have no faith in our "justice" system.
