Fresh calls to boycott Bud Light volley across social media nearly two weeks after a product endorsement from Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer, set off backlash among some prominent conservatives.
Far-right House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Wednesday reposted a video for her 700,000 Twitter followers that featured a rapper in a pro-Trump hoodie burning empty Bud Light boxes. Celebrities Kid Rock and Ted Nugent previously voiced similar messages.
The boycott, which coincides with a conservative push in state legislatures nationwide to restrict LGBTQ rights, is the latest in a string of efforts among advocates on the left and right to damage the bottom line of companies deemed anathema to a given group's views.
However, the campaigns rarely succeed in hurting a company's sales or influencing its decision making, experts told ABC News, adding that they expect the calls to boycott Bud Light to ultimately fade away with little consequence for the brand's parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev.

ABC/Disney, which regularly stirs up boycotts, is saying boycotts don’t work. LOL
Whenever liberals boycott companies, though, they work
It work’s immediately but they recover. JC Penny’s still around. Budweiser initially lost 5 percent but gained back 3 percent. Next week will give a better look at how the stock does.
JC Penney never recovered from its “two mommies” catalog cover.
Yes, but anonymous experts agree with them, so you may as well throw in the towel and admit defeat.
Cord cutting has ratcheted up in the past three years, and now a majority are not going to a live TV service replacement (YouTube TV, Hulu, Sling, FuboTv, etc.) I suspect a portion of that is due to being force-fed woke shows, movies, and commercials, but that's not the entire reason.
I guess this is a “boycott” but to me, no way am I going to buy a can of queer beer.
The key is understanding that while going woke cannot destroy a company completely it erodes the customer base for the long term.
For major corporations it is like flushing billions of future dollars down the toilet.
It is like shooting yourself in the leg to make a political statement. You will probably survive and may even fully recover—but it is really dumb.
Seems to be working in my circles! Like one of my regular bartenders said, “Oh, you’re one of those!”, when I shunned my regular BL and had her bring me a Yuengling.
Ron Johnson and Bill Ackerman had a little something to do with the JCP downfall.
As soon as you read or hear the phrase, experts say, you are aware that you will be reading opinion, not fact. Unfortunately, conservative outlets are sometimes guilty of the appeal to authority fallacy.
Boycotts only work when the company has few or no alternatives. The boycott of My Pillow nearly ended Mike Lindell but he was able to survive by going direct, although at a great cost. AB InBev would be fine if they never sold another case of Bud Light. The best that might happen is the queer gets canned and maybe this marketing bish.
Boycotting some things don’t work because there isn’t a ton of other options (NFL) but we have 100s of different beers. Bud drinkers might just find something better , which wouldn’t be that hard.
Yes people will eventually forget about this but if the tranny goes away why would the boycott continue ?
I'm hoping it doesn't turn out that way, but it's a possibility.
I never drank that swill in the first place, so my "boycott" means nothing.
Most people I know pay for live TV only during sports season (around here that’s college football season). Then they pay for just one streaming service at a time (i.e. just Hulu, or just Netflix) and watch all the non-woke shows on that service they haven’t seen before. Then they cancel that service and start a new one (i.e. switch from Netflix to Hulu) to watch all the non-woke shows on that service, etc. I do that with CBS during football season (since my area isn’t good for over-the-air reception even with HD antenna, and CBS has a contract with SEC football for airing the big games, thus in the fall I pay for CBS streaming). So in the fall I catch up on Blue Bloods and NCIS.
Who is talking about a boycott? It isn’t like Bud light is really good or anything. Just try other brands. You might find other brands far more to your liking.
Did you tell the mouthy bartender to shut their yap?
It would be interesting to know how many people dropped BL only to pick up one of the other brands in the 600 plus beer portfolio of Anheuser-Busch InBev.... thinking that they were doing their bit of protest against the insanity.
Replacing BL with Corona accomplishes nothing...
Boycotts rarely work says bud light after losing 6 billion dollars practically overnight
