Nearly one in five adults in the US say they have a relative who was killed by a gun, a disturbing new study revealed Tuesday.
The troubling statistic included death by suicide, according to the report from the Kaiser Family Foundation.
A similar amount – 21 percent – of respondents said they had been personally threatened with a gun.
The study also found that people of color were disproportionately impacted by gun violence, with three in 10 black adults and one-fifth of Hispanic respondents saying they have witnessed someone being shot.
Thirty-four percent of black adults reported having a family member who was killed by a firearm, or two times the share of white adults who said the same.

I don’t know anyone killed by a gun or rifle. I had no direct aquaintnce killed by COVID. One co-worker, that I only communicated with by email, supposedly died of COVID complications.

This is pure propaganda in a lot of different ways. So I’ll focus on the most silly: I’ve met people killed by bullets, but not ever one single person killed with a gun. I know that this has happened, but I’d be willing to bet that the total number of people in the US killed by being bludgeoned by a firearm is roughly zero per year.

How far back? Civil War? All the other wars and police actions? For the left there is not lie they won’t tell or law they won’t break to further their agenda.
They are probably including suicides. A neighbor did that terrible thing 40 years ago. Good guy too.
Fifty years ago I had a friend whose husband was killed by a gun. An accident. He was in the military and going to the practice range. It had something to do with a “trigger shoe”, whatever that is.
Studies are politically motivated bullcrap paid for by politically motivated liars and manipulators: study.
And yeah. Me just making that up and saying it out loud puts it in just about the same level of integrity and fact as nearly all “studies”.
I know a woman whose family fled Nicaragua in the 1970s. Her family was threatened by guns then. Would this event in another country also apply?
Now do car and plane crashes for comparison.

How many people have had a grandfather, uncle, or cousin killed in one of our wars?
First friend that died was in 7th grade, Donny Hines, his dad was a cop and Don and a neighbor were playing with the gun and it went off. That was 55 years ago.
