The New York Times reported that the Biden administration will abuse EPA regulations to eliminate most real car sales by 2030. The plan is to force 67% of car sales to be electric by 2032. Most Americans won’t be able to afford them, but they’ll have no other options.
Even the cheapest electric cars, which are still far more expensive than their real car counterparts and are just one battery problem away from turning into mostly unusable junk, are out of the price range of the majority of Americans who need an income of $80,000 to make an EV auto loan work. That’s fine in Washington D.C. where the median income of $83,567 is the highest in the nation, but will entirely price much of the country out of the new car market.
53% of Americans earn less than $75,000. Some of the 16% who earn from $50,000 to $75,000 may be able to make an electric vehicle purchase work if they squeeze, cut back on food and clothes for the kids, but the remaining 37% will be completely locked out. And, unable to own a car, they’ll have even bigger monthly payments or, with no transportation, be unable to work.

The problem is too many repubs want the same as the dims, they just can’t say it out loud.

On top of that, since battery repairs are cost prohibitive, any car wrecked where there is any indication of battery issue, the car will be totaled. The cost of insurance as a result, will skyrocket.
And that is a problem, presidents undoing what their predecessor did. We need to get both presidents and the courts to follow the law, let the legislature enact the laws.
And THAT is his plan.

Pretty soon, who will want to buy a petro car after Biden starts reducing the number of fuel stations via government mandates and oversight?
I can easily see the number of gas stations drying up as it become government induced cost prohibitive for them to remain in business. Then the trucking will dry up. Goods and services will dry up. Propane will become very hard to get in the rural areas. You’ll need to live in the city unless you can grow or raise your own..... EVERYTHING!
Our future is really looking very primitive if these asshats are allowed to still continue breathing our air.

I doubt batteries will be covered by any insurance company.
The retarded political leadership in the states of California, Washington, and Oregon have already passed a ban on any new ICE vehicle by 2035.
The Biden administration moving the date closer, actually makes me happy.

The entire plan is to move you to Mass Transit.
If you don’t have it close, they want you to move to an area with Mass Transit.
They know how damaging mining the batteries are and how toxic the remnants will be.
In fact, they believe the move away from Capitalism is only going to happen when the middle class has is unhappy with a poor outlook.
Take a college course on City (or Town) planning. It takes a village is mild.

The power grid will be unable to handle the load of all those new EVs being charged up. That will require doubling the power grid and hiking the cost of power to pay for it. When all that cost to the public; the increasing price of electricity to run the EVs; combined with its over-priced cost to own them (don’t forget the installation cost of the recharge station), you could have bought a lot of gasoline. It will be a train wreck.
These Leftniks pushing the green gospel while ignoring the price of the collection plate will destroy their credibility with the public. They will just as well be those preacher snake handlers who get a life-ending bite.
