R.E.M. song in 1987
Six o’clock, T.V. hour, don’t get caught in foreign tower
Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn
Lock him in uniform, book burning, bloodletting
Every motive escalate, automotive incinerate
It’s the end of the world as we know it
It’s the end of the world as we know it
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine (time I had some time alone)
The basic McDonalds hamburger patty is as small as it is possible to make without it either falling apart or being able to be seen through.
“..a medium cup today is what a small cup was last visit - including the S marking on the bottom!”
Lol.
Evidence!
Getting laid off means you can collect unemployment. Fired means you cannot.
Now that we are retired, I’m the guy watching the checker and register at the Safeway checkout to make sure I’m getting the sale prices. I never used to do that. We’ve cut out most restaurant meals now.
I’ve gotten some great deals via the Safeway Friday specials, their “Just 4 U” app, and the weekly flier in the mail on Tuesday.
The market has moved on.
All in on AI.
Apple and Microsoft. They own it.
McDonalds stopped wanting me as a customer a very long time ago.

Generally if the company decides to end it, you get unemployment, but if you decide to leave, you don’t. Generally, barring fringe exceptional cases.
It’s because you get a severance package for having your job eliminated.
How dare you! Eat! Eat!

Too expensive, and I can make a superior burger and fries for far less than I can buy at a Fast Food chain these days.
When that equation was reversed, I rarely bothered to make my own.
MCD stock has done well YTD. Started at 264.33 and closed Friday at 279.61.
I wonder what it will look like Monday evening.
Because I work nights I usually buy Hungary Man frozen dinners as I don't want to be cooking a one in the morning. I've noticed over the last two years portion sizes in these things a re smaller. Cans of tuna are smaller, cans of soup, just about everything is shrinking. Except prices.
Most of the McD’s in my part of the world push the customer to the kiosks.
