“We have a vehicle problem,” Cort said. “We’re addicted to our cars and trucks, and that’s a big cause of the air pollution that we’re fighting.”

We have a freedom problem. Americans being allowed to make choices must come to an end.

I predict eventually the eco-terrorists will start going around sabotaging ICE vehicles, and they won’t be prosecuted for it.

Like how they used to go up and spray paint fur coats.

One of the most valuable inventions that ever increased our liberties and freedoms is the internal combustion engine and the American car that it resulted in. It has increased our ability to excersize our freedom of movement and search for liberty and prosperity as we deem what is right for our families and ourselves.

Freedom of movement is a threat to tyranny so it must be limited by despots and dictators.

Don’t give them any ideas.
However, I think that that is the final goal.

How will human foodstuffs and necessities be shipped in and out of the State; hand carried?

Exactly. If we had somebody running the Department of Transportation, he would nip this crap in the bud before our transportation system is destroyed. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen when the boy is at home breastfeeding his child.

No kidding. Many like to joke how California is shooting itself in the foot. But wait until people figure out how items like produce make it to other parts of the country with these regulations.

So diesels are no longer the great alternative.

Goes to show how definition creep works. As a kid diesel was considered the more “efficient” mode of transport.

Was that ever in question by the EPA? Foregone conclusion, I would say. It's right up their alley. In fact, anything to really screw things up for the vast majority of people is the EPA stock in trade.

Nothing comes close to the energy density of “fossil” fuels.

The end of “fossil” fuels is the end of food.

That’s the real goal.

There was a movie in the late Seventies where Lee Majors races the last car in the country to CA where there are still free people.

Well, Can’t get all of em right
