So these idiots have not talked to officials at the Ports of LA and Long Beach - neither Port has enough power to charge all of the electric vehicles needed to move the containers out of the Port.

So what if a truck doesn’t have enough juice to move a container to the Inland Empire? Who is going to pay the driver to sit while his truck is charging? Complete chaos!

“Efficient” is irrelevant.
“Total Cost of Ownership” is irrelevant.
“Cost/Benefit” is irrelevant.

Only the current dictates of the state are relevant....and you may not question those dictates.

Biden called the CEO’s of Amazon and UPS to the Whitehouse on Friday to explain they needed to use EV’s for their shipping and receiving processes. “Well son of a bitch”

No more diesel trucks in CA? I wonder what’s the carbon footprint of a team of horses.

+++++++++++++

I was watching a documentary on the first subway for NYC. This dates back to around 1900. Prior to the subway taking a massive load off the surface street traffic, there was an insane amount of horse crap in the streets. Getting from point "A" to point "B" across the surface streets was extremely difficult. Especially after it rained and then the streets were half a foot of muddy horse crap.

I hope California gets what it wishes for.

What a one-sided article. Nowhere does it suggest this is an utter impossibility.

It does say “…some in the trucking industry are concerned about how costly and burdensome the transition will be for truck drivers and companies.”

LOL…”some.” I guess they couldn’t write “a few” and keep a straight face. In reality, “some” means “ALL.” There will be NO trucking industry left in CA.

The trucks don’t exist. The batteries don’t exist. The charging infrastructure does not exist. The power generation does not exist. The range isn’t there. The budget to repair the roads from heavy EV truck damage isn’t there. The truck battery recycling does not exist. Today’s power distribution system and transformers cannot do the job. Truckers cannot wait ten hours to recharge. There is no way to stabilized the grid with only windmills and solar cells.

Other than those few problems, it’s a grand plan.

Emphasizing that this post is NOT meant to be construed as an April Fool's Day post, please consider the following.

"EPA [emphasis added] approves California rules phasing out diesel trucks"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Patriots are minded that the states have never expressly constitutionally amended the Constitution to give the feds or the states the power for prohibiting things like diesel trucks based on the decisions of non-popularly-elected state and federal bureaucrats whom criminal-minded (imo) career state and federal lawmakers hide behind to protect themselves from the wrath of the voters.

In other words, this constitutionally indefensible (imo) diesel truck policy by state and federal government bureaucrats is just another example of the Democratic and RINO-pirated federal government blatantly ignoring its constitutionally enumerated duty to guarantee the people of each state a republican form of government.

When career state and federal lawmakers let government bureaucrats get away with stealing state powers to do lawmaker's dirty work for them it wrongly weakens the constitutionally enumerated voting power of ordinary qualified citizen voters.

Patriots, the bottom line is this imo. What is your threshold of “pain” for peacefully stopping unconstitutionally big state and federal governments controlled by bully, constitutionally undefined political parties, from oppressing the people under their boots?

The inevitable remedy for ongoing, post-17A ratification, corrupt political party treason (imo)...

All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.

If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.

If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.

With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.

In fact, since unconstitutional Social Security, based on FDR era stolen state powers imo, is projected to run out of money by 2033 as a consequence of alleged Democratic and RINO criminal mismanagement of SS funds, please consider the following.

The sooner that 16&17A are repealed, putting a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, the sooner that the states will find new revenues to establish their own SS programs, depending on what state social spending programs the legal majority citizen voters of a given state want.

In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.

In other words, primarying RINOs in 2022 was just for practice. Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying for 2024 elections.

The Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, south of Los Osos, Calif., sits near earthquake fault lines, and is slated to close by 2025. The Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant will be shut down by 2025.
