Goes to show how definition creep works. As a kid diesel was considered the more “efficient” mode of transport.

“Efficient” is irrelevant.
“Total Cost of Ownership” is irrelevant.
“Cost/Benefit” is irrelevant.
Only the current dictates of the state are relevant....and you may not question those dictates.
