Dershowitz has often said that a “first-year law student could win this case.”
Not in New York.

A New York jury would relish the thought of throwing the former President into a cell.

Then they'd fight for the opportunity to swallow the key.

Wonder what he has been promised...a judgeship??

Professorship at Princeton Law School would be my guess.

They don’t think they have a snowball’s chance of winning it...the whole thing was just to get the headlines and stir up the GOP with hopes of getting some kind of media-worthy reaction.

Would they do this?

I'd love to see Trump say "I am arriving in NYC on Monday at noon, join me for a walk to the court." I bet a million people would join him--a show of support and power.

“So, why is this being done?”

I’m guessing you’re having an anxiety attack. It’s only Friday.

I would be confident that the next higher court from Manhattan, Southern District? would throw this case out and rebuke the Manhattan DA.

But I believe most all NY prosecutors are rabid leftist’s. Still don’t believe this case will see the light of day.

Don't forget Lesquisha James, the AG. She is the one pushing this, Bragg is just her useful idiot.

He’ll get a $3-$5 million book deal out of the exercise, regardless of the outcome. If he gets a conviction, even on one count of 34, he probably gets $7-10 million. Multi-count win
could be $12-$15 MM. Remember, this is “unprecedented”, so a win for him is double-plus unprecedented.

I’m sure he was heavily influenced/pushed by people within his office, his donors, and in DC to go forward.

“People are going to lose their jobs..”

Doubtful. Schiff, Raskin, Nadler, Garland, etc... all still have their jobs. So does Wray. None of the Leftist mob will be losing their jobs over this. There is almost no risk in it for them.

“ Bragg will lose his job in the end.”

Nope. Bragg will move up the ladder faster than ever. Governor to Presidential candidate in his future.

I’m waiting to see the evidence against Trump. Now we’re hearing about this bad guy, this good guy, prosecutorial abuse, etc.

I think Trump is a winner no matter the outcome but I and others worry about him being electable against the democrat.

The threat from the democrat side is not individuals like Bide but because they hand out money, support minorities, immigration and immoral behavior — all popular with a lot of people.

Plus there are the Never Trumpers. Trump is not saying things to bring them around.

.
The judges Hate Trump.

The Manhattan Jury doesn’t care what they present.

So, I have to wonder about the weak case point.

It really won’t be judged on its legal merits, and peeps should stop trying to convince people that Judges are fair.

There probably isn’t a non violent solution but a smart play for Trump is non violence. Bare your cross and make sure it’s all happening in the sight of as many people as possible. Lynchings are easier to do on Saturday night than they are to re-watch on Sunday morning while reading the passion.

I missed a few days here and there in law school due to illness. The day they taught “Misprison of Prosecution” must have been one of them. Malicious Prosecution is certainly a real cause of action, but a plaintiff winning a case like that almost never happens. Can’t get at the DA or judge personally; they have pretty thorough immunity.
