Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) on Friday warned Republican lawmakers that their efforts to conduct oversight into his investigation of Donald Trump represents a “dangerous usurpation” by Congress that could impinge upon the former president’s rights.
The response from Bragg’s office comes the morning after a grand jury he empaneled to hear evidence voted to indict Trump in connection with efforts to hide a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels by couching them as legal payments.

Trump’s lawyers have the indictment. Just hasn’t been released to the public.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) is guilty of fomenting an insurrection by the Democrats. Why are they doing this?
His atty on Hannity last night said he hadn’t seen it. That is why I’m wondering how this could be legal.
Shut up Soros slave.
Projecting - again
Aint it great to be a leftist? You get to push, push, push; lie, cheat, steal. Then you get to turn around and blame and play the victim when there is a pushback.
Classic abuser strategy 101.
Bragg needs to lose his law license. He is unfit to practice law. He is knowingly letting violent criminals roam free while persecuting a former President.
OUTRAGEOUS!
The court doesn’t unseal the indictment until arraignment or if a judge orders it before arraignment. The prosecutor or his staff could leak it, but how would we know if the leaked information is correct?
So it is legal not to tell a person or his lawyer why he’s being indicted? I just don’t understand how this can be. It’s like arresting and handcuffing someone but not telling them why until they’re at the police station. I know I sound naive, but my mind can’t wrap around it.
House GOP needs to follow the bread crumbs back to Brandon’s DOJ. Then defund. I doubt that will happen, though.
In the Bragg/Trump case, the local population voted 80% against Trump, and yet this case could change the whole nation by tainting the 2024 election. If a criminal trial results, Trump's lawyers could ask for a change of venue, but who knows what kind of judge would preside.
You and I agree that Bragg has summoned a kangaroo court. Trump could appeal, but the appeal might not be over until after 2024.
Bragg can do so now if he wants to, but that might help Trump's lawyers.
But not the Governors
One way: Closed extradition access:
Every R- Governor call out the armed National Guard (beginning in FLA.)
to repel any chance of extradition, by air, highway travel, and sea.
Then STAND armed.
Usurpers, insurrectionists...it’s a wonder they don’t
throw us all in jail...
Oh wait, they just haven’t gotten around to that yet!
Here is Alvin Bragg’s actual statement: “I’se jes’ doin’ what Massa George sez. He sez, ‘Git Trump’, so’s I git Trump”.
Bragg is a hack who ought to shut up.
He looks like he has a bad case of constipation.
Only in bizzaro world.
If there was such a thing as justice anymore, Bragg would be arrested for false arrest within minutes of Trump being arrested and released
