Bryan Kohberger’s two sisters were fired from their jobs over their familial relationship with their alleged killer brother, according to a report.
Melissa and Amanda Kohberger were canned in the months after their brother’s arrest for the quadruple slayings of four University of Idaho students last year, NewsNation reported.
“Both of Kohberger’s parents are retired and I’m told the family is in very, very bad shape financially right now especially because the sisters are now unemployed,” anchor Dan Abrams said Monday. Kohberger was given a television inside his private cell and has the freedom to choose what he watches.

Why did the sisters get fired for their brother’s crime? Are they guilty by association?
Apparently.
Had their last name been Smith, Jones or Johnson, they may have had a chance, but it’s not easy hiding in plain sight with the last name of Kohberger.
To go along with the ex post facto garbage they're using on Trump.
That is not right. I sure don’t defend him if he killed those youth, but if his sisters had nothing to do with it at all, why terminate them? Is that legal?
That’s not right. I could understand if they were somehow implicated in this by hiding him or something but that’s not the case.
I’m with you on this one... the sisters had nothing to do with the crime...
Television in his cell? WTF?
We’re descending into a complete abrogation of the Constitution.
Injustice of any form should offend true conservatives. Innocent parties suffering at the hands of the justice system and guilty parties not suffering punishment are both offensive - one situation is as ugly as the other. The sisters shouldn’t have to suffer punishment for what their brother did if they didn’t have any involvement.
Are they working in an at will state?
That’s wrong. It sounds like a gutteral response to the family of a murderer who lived in a small village.
I don’t think we’re in America anymore, Toto.
We stopped descending long ago, FRiend. We are there now. It will only get worse from here on. If you think that the “Leaders” , both Republican and Democrat [sameo, sameo actually] give even a little shit about people like us, you need to revise your thinking. We had one person who cared about and fought for people like us, and he is reviled like no other individual on the face of the Earth. His name is Donald J. Trump.
Right.... eh. There are people who went Guano Crazy (that is technical jargon for totally kook-koo) over this murder. So their being employed at a certain place could result in people showing up and interrupting the business. It could even put the other employees in danger.
So I can understand why they did it even if I am not convinced it is right.
I think the kohberger family resides in a small town where everybody knows each other. That could cause severe problems for the business employing members of family.
So yes, my sympathies are with the sisters if they had nothing to do with the horrible crimes of their brother, but we still live in a capitalist system, and private employers are allowed to fire any employee for business reasons.
I never understood this kind of reaction either. No idea why having the same parents as a criminal means that person also somehow needs to suffer.
But...so many people are stupid and that is why things like this happen.
What did that have to do with the rest of the story? “Journalism” in action again.
