FDA proposes using salt substitutes in more food
Digital Journal ^ | 3/25/2023 | Karen Graham

Friday’s proposed rule looks to change the FDA’s “standards of identity” (SOI) for over 20 items, ranging from cheese to cereal flour. This simply means the SOIs list ingredients that standardized foods must contain, and which ingredients are optional.

Most SOIs do not currently permit the use of salt substitutes. The proposed rule uses a “horizontal” approach to updating the SOIs. This means that the proposed rule would affect multiple SOIs and apply across various foods and categories of foods.

Specifically – 80 SOIs that specify salt as a required or an optional ingredient.would be amended under the FDA’s proposal. This means that 140 of the 250 SOIs currently established for a wide variety of foods would be affected.

Permitted salt substitutes are not listed. Instead, they are defined as being safe and suitable ingredients (or a combination of ingredients) used to replace some or all of the salt in a standardized food.

the FDA has caused circa >2 million excess deaths
per month ... because it was paid off and substituted
money for Truth/actual drug testing.

Despite the millions genocidal-murdered,
and that the FDA’s personal did not take the poisons,
the accountability = 0.0,
so FDA-caused deaths will continue (and grow).

Start substituting something natural that the body requires.

What could possibly go wrong?

Salt substitutes?

Is salt hard to find, or something?

Is this the beginning of the campaign to end salt mining now? Will we soon start seeing shortages and skyrocketing prices for table salt?

Is salt hard to find, or something?

People eat processed foods, then worry about their salt intake.

Anyone else think it’s odd how the government thinks they’re everyone’s primary care physician?

>> the FDA has caused circa >2 million excess deaths per month <<

I have lost all confidence with the NHS and FDA over the forced vaccinations. But wild, crazy claims make it seem reasonable when the State accuses us skeptics of misinformation and paranoia. At 2 million per month, within 6 1/2 years the entire United States would be dead.

You're not one of those "deplorables" that are pseudo-salt resistant, are you? We'll just eliminate the requirement of "Truth in Labeling" so you won't know which ones contain what in what %. Not enough died during the Scandemic so other methods will be used.

Here’s a better idea.

Eat better and avoid the processed poison and you won’t have to worry about what they are adding to your junk food.

A lie from the Devil. You should eat abundant unrefined salt which has all the trace minerals in it. High blood pressure is from low magnesium

No carbon in NaCl, but I’m sure it will be explained to us in terms of fossil fuel use.

I’m sure they are working on that considering how essential it is for survival.

I had to stop all salt substitutes, including in so called
‘no salt - unsalted products’ because they raised my potassium to dangerous levels.

Why Potassium Chloride Is Not Always a Safe Salt Substitute!
Salt substitutes with potassium chloride are a good way to get extra potassium and cut back on sodium. But too much potassium can be deadly!

When potassium-sparing diuretics are added to certain blood pressure medications, they can lead to a buildup of potassium. The same thing can occur when a salt substitute containing potassium chloride is added to such medications for hypertension.
