Trump lashes out at DeSantis over Piers Morgan interview

Former President Trump on Wednesday took a swing at Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) after the Florida governor knocked him in an interview with Fox News’s Piers Morgan, another clash between the two GOP figures as they prepare for what could be a 2024 presidential primary match-up.

In an interview set to air on Fox Nation’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored” Thursday and published in part by The New York Post, DeSantis shifted from his previously veiled stance to more directly addressing the former president’s attacks with jabs of his own toward Trump’s character and leadership.

Trump, who is facing a looming indictment in New York over a hush-money payment to the adult film star Stormy Daniels, took to Truth Social to respond to DeSantis.

I’m not eating up with the media is pushing forward. I’m hearing what Trump himself is saying. I’m seeing what Trump is saying unfiltered by any of the media. And all of this back and forth was started by Trump.

Trump has given the media plenty of ammunition to work with that’s for sure.

Trump apparently has his reasons for going after DeSantis and that’s been discussed Ad nauseam on multiple threads on this site on this very subject.

I think it all depends on what criteria people are using to evaluate all this back and forth.

Trump is actually doing DeSantis by taunting him now. He’s warning the governor: there are political consequences to pay for challenging Trump for the 2024 nomination.

And people don’t fully realize quite yet: DeSantis is not that strong on his feet. In fact, nobody can stand up to Trump when it comes to live fisty-cuff exchanges on the television stage.

We all remember how another Florida Governor, tippy-toes Jeb Bush, was brought down in debates by the Donald. Even the strong orator, Lyin’ Ted, was no match for the straight-talking Donald.

Actually, what DeSantis should fear the most is Kari Lake winning her Governorship election court battle in Arizona. Lake has got the silver tongue and moxie to challenge DeSantis in 2028 and win the MAGA vote.

I bet DeSantis will not run this time. If he does, he will — like Jeb — bail after South Carolina and claim he made a good run. He definitely fears being crushed by Trump in the Florida Super-Tuesday primary.

In his latest Truth Social post on the Florida governor, Trump notably used his “Ron DeSanctimonious” moniker, which Trump coined ahead of midterms and has reportedly workshopped as part of his campaign prep. DeSantis said in the Morgan interview that he “kinda” likes the nickname.

The MSM wants nothing more than see a war between Trump and DeSantis..........

One only has to look at the articles being posted to see how focused the MSM is in creating that war.
