Former President Trump on Wednesday took a swing at Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) after the Florida governor knocked him in an interview with Fox News’s Piers Morgan, another clash between the two GOP figures as they prepare for what could be a 2024 presidential primary match-up.
In an interview set to air on Fox Nation’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored” Thursday and published in part by The New York Post, DeSantis shifted from his previously veiled stance to more directly addressing the former president’s attacks with jabs of his own toward Trump’s character and leadership.
Trump, who is facing a looming indictment in New York over a hush-money payment to the adult film star Stormy Daniels, took to Truth Social to respond to DeSantis.

Love Trump, but he’s gotta stop banging on DeSantis, a VERY popular REPUBLICAN governor of a major SWING STATE.
His got plenty enough enemies in the Establishment to go after.
I love it that Trump is not a politician, but he needs to be more politically astute.

Can’t believe FOX picked up Piers Morgan
Can’t believe DeSantis chose to sit down with Piers Morgan at this TIME.
I am still trying to figure out what in that interview was Desantis attacking Trump. There were a number of editorial comments by Morgan that said, Desantis slammed and criticized Trump, but the statements by Desantis don’t seem to bear that out.

It largely started after the 2022 elections when, nationally, Republicans “disappointed” and hugely underperformed compared to expectations BUT DESANTIS WON RE-ELECTION IN A HUGE LANDSLIDE.
Just sayin’.
Trump is of the opinion that loyalty is a two-way street.
DeSantis should endorse Trump for 2024.
Then, he could count on the support of Trump’s vast legions in 2028, and 2032, as well as DJT himself.
DeSantis is only 44 years old. He needs to wait.
If the trump camp would spend half the time they spend bashing DeSantis over his response to Trump’s indictment actually fighting the indictment and the forces pushing for it, maybe he wouldn’t be arrested.
I wonder if this thread will get over 100 responses, as some others on the subject of Trump and DeSantis have gotten.

How dare Trump criticize DeSantis.
How dare Trump criticize one who is above being criticized.
And that's a remark I direct not really to DeSantis and some of his supporters. It's a remark I direct toward the whiny ones.
