Trump lashes out at DeSantis over Piers Morgan interview
The Hill ^ | 03/22/2023 | JULIA MUELLER

Former President Trump on Wednesday took a swing at Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) after the Florida governor knocked him in an interview with Fox News’s Piers Morgan, another clash between the two GOP figures as they prepare for what could be a 2024 presidential primary match-up.

In an interview set to air on Fox Nation’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored” Thursday and published in part by The New York Post, DeSantis shifted from his previously veiled stance to more directly addressing the former president’s attacks with jabs of his own toward Trump’s character and leadership.

Trump, who is facing a looming indictment in New York over a hush-money payment to the adult film star Stormy Daniels, took to Truth Social to respond to DeSantis.

Trump is a lifetime Democrat until he entered politics and uses imported foreign labor at his businesses. Some form of amnesty is almost certainly in the cards in a second Trump term.

I see the MSM trying to destroy Trump via DeSantis, while at the same time trying to segregate DeSantis from any support he may have gotten from Trump supporters......

The MSM gave us "The Maverick" McCain and the MSM destroyed him once he got the GOP nomination.........

You never once heard the term "The Maverick" John McCain after the day he lost the 2008 election........

I am so tired of such a waste of talent spent on in-fighting. Sick. and Tired.

Is there REALLY such infighting or is the MSM playing us for willing fools?

I think DJT better START worrying about upcoming indictments and not worry about Desantis.

That's why Trump hires lawyers, let them worry about the bull s*** charges. This is all about trying to derail Trump from being president, because they know damn well he's going to win big after what we've all witnessed for the past 2 years.

Btw, Trumps able to walk and chew gum at the same time. He's proves that almost daily. He's hard to keep up with, even for people 20 years younger.

So I assume you are not one of those who was upset about the comments from Desantis when he mentioned hush payments to a porn star a couple of times? Because as you say, politics is a man’s game…

Nope. Not upset at all. In fact I’m glad he responded that way. He finally revealed himself as the political rival to Trump that he’s always been.

The Republican front is fractured. Has been for years and shows no signs of ever being fixed.

Here are some names, in case you didn’t know: McConnell, Graham, Rubio, Thune, Cornyn, Tim Scott, Ernst, Capito, Rounds, Barasso, Cassidy, Blunt, Burr, Collins, Kramer, Crapo, Grassley, Hoeven, Murkowski, Portman, Risch, Romney, Tillis, Young.

Lets see: Pres Trump, being a business man knows that you need leverage over someone to get something from them that they don’t want to give, I’m sure we can agree on that. So, he threatens AMLO with closing down the border at a time when he wanted Mexico to do more about illegals. What does Cruz do? Instead of quietly reaching out to the President to pick his brain about why, he can’t get on Twitter fast enough to criticize the President.

As for having a logical alibi....the DOJ, FEC, and previous DA declined all of this crap. All of it. Daniels’ story has already been debunked. The pic of the two of them was at a golf event in Nevada years and years before.

The Big Hush. Is Trump Getting Ready To Expose Another 2016 Clinton Hoax? .... https://bryanleon.substack.com/p/the-big-hush-is-trump-getting-ready

supposed allies think he deserves to be arrested..... supposed allies?? The man, with help from 5 or 6 people, did more in 4 years, dealing with a fraudulent impeachment over a phone call, a fraudulent investigation and Mueller, etc etc etc, given that Republican’s in Congress, save a small handful, did NOTHING to help him or THE PEOPLE. So, at the end of the day those “supposed allies” are also known as ENEMIES. The sneaky ones, like most RINOs in DC and eslewhere.

It is a mand game and it appears to me Trump is well past his prime. Like Muhammad Ali staying in the ring too long. Trump should retire and spend his fee remaining years with his grandchildren.

You think so? Who do you think’s coming out ahead from all this? Trump or DeSantis. Be honest.

I haven’t seen the pic so I can’t comment back.

But, in todays world, soda and water are in plastic, unless you buy one of the old school Coke bottles. Booze is in glass.

Thank you for being consistent. Too many here have been fine with Trump’s digs at Desantis, but fell weeping to their fainting couches when Desantis made a fairly mild response. But while Desantis is now a political rival, it is an overstatement to say he always was. Desantis supported Trump while in Congress and during Trump’s re-election campaign. He now obviously thinks he would be a better choice than Trump, so he is now a political rival. That happens in politics.

There is some infighting and it’s all instigated by Trump. The media would not be reporting on this if Trump would refrain from attacks on DeSantis.

Where was all this Republican unity talk back in 2016?

Also:

Where was all this unity when they could have repealed, completely, obamacare? Instead they left up to Pres Trump and his team to figure out a way to dismantle it one piece at a time, as much as they could.

Where was all this unity in 2018, leading up to the mid-term elections, where Ryan and McConnell gave the Democrats the House and Senate?

Where was all this unity in 2020, when, in the face of a legit amount of evidence, Republicans did nothing about “irregularities” in the voting procedures?

Where was all this unity when Pres Trump was actually doing something about illegal immigration, the ridiculous refugee/asylum scam...all things Republican’s have been campaigning on since...forever?

Where was all the unity when Pres Trump was moving the US Embassy to where it should be, in Israel, unlike those before him and ACTUALLY getting Peace In The Middle East?

Leaning Right, I could go on, but, the Republican’s you allude to, threw Pres Trump, you, unclebankster, me and every other American under the bus because of their hatred of the man.

The pic was from about 20 years ago. But let’s assume it was beer - Desantis walks into a graduation party and one of the students has a bottle that looks like beer. If it was a graduation party, they are no longer his student - would it have been his responsibility to take the bottle away? But the point is that Trump and Trump supporters don’t even bother to research and find what is known about the picture, they just put out the slander, then object if Trump is subject to the same.

Really, the drinking age was 21 at the time. He was a teacher at the school apparently. Nothing wrong. Don’t worry about it.

From what I understand the pic was of him dancing with the students. That true? Again, I haven’t seen the pic, maybe you have.

If you have seen the pic and it shows him dancing with the kids, then you’re being dishonest in your responses, in an attempt to sanitize your guy. No worries, folks do it all the time.

So, at the end of the day, a grown man...civilian Donald J Trump....takes a pic of a good looking blond with big boobs at a charity golf event...The Devil. Got it.

Maybe one day there will be people other than Trump who are capable of governing as an America first, President. But that won’t happen until the deep state power structure has been destroyed enough to prevent their influence over the process. Trump is the only one capable of bucking the system as it currently is.

I’m sure there are a number of honest, MAGA-inclined people who would do a fine job, once all this mess is cleaned up. But none of them have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting elected in our current environment. The amount of money needed to run a successful campaign is more than they can raise, without making compromises. They would have to be independently wealthy, like Trump. They’d have to be billionaires, not millionaires. When you look at the population of billionaires in our country, few if any have the desire to challenge the Establishment, like Trump does. In that regard, he truly is unique.

On top of that, such individuals would have to have the talents required of a war-time President, because we truly are in the midst of a war. That narrows down the pool of candidates even more.

You are absolutely correct. As just one example, 2017 and 2018 were golden years. The GOP had the presidency and both houses of Congress. So many great things could have been accomplished!

Yet next to nothing was done. I am a vocal critic of Trump when he is wrong. But this is no way his fault. Trump tried, but GOPe types in the Senate and House blocked his every move.

Years from now, an honest historian might well see 2018 as the last year our Republic had a chance to survive.

Everyone always looks at the small picture. Even if did, but also secures the GD southern border, which he was on his way, it would be worth it by a 1000x. Trump understands, if you're in a boat and it's got leaks, if you don't stop the leaks, the water keeps coming. It's not complex.

For many decades, the Republican and Democrats never had any intention of securing our borders. They hoodwinked everyone. Lies and lip service is all we got. And it's still wide open.

Piers Morgan was pretty much kicked out of Britain by his fellow countrymen because he had made himself such a ‘’ total pratt’( British slang for a pain in the butt or a jerk).

I can't stand him. He's is 100% against the 2nd. Amendment. Nothing sets my teeth grinding in anger than to have to listen to foreigners like this jerk come to America, my home, OUR home and start to lecture Americans about why we shouldn't have the right to own firearms. The guys an ahole through and through.

“ From what I understand the pic was of him dancing with the students. That true? ”

No. The picture is just Desantis and some young adults posing for the camera.

As long as Desantis was not giving them alcohol, the issue is the person hosting the party and supplying the alcohol. Since we don’t know what may or may not have been said (did he chide them about underage drinking?) any conclusion other than he took a picture with young people is speculation. When asked, None of his students ever said he did anything inappropriate, so despite the attempt by Trump, there does not seem to be any ‘there’ there.
