Russia has lost an estimated five men for every Ukrainian soldier its forces have killed in the battle for Bakhmut, according to a Nato official.
Speaking to CNN on condition of anonymity, the official said that Nato intelligence showed that Russia’s losses in the assault on the eastern salt-mining town far outweighed Ukraine’s.
The official also said, however, that Ukraine’s losses defending the city were significant.
Russia’s use of costly wave attacks have prompted comparisons to the First World War and the commander of the mercenary forces leading the assault has described the battle as a “meat grinder” for Russian troops.
Russia has been assaulting Bakhut since August, in what has become the longest and costliest battle of the war.

So, by your logic, fewer embedded video teams in Iraq and Afhan means more video coming out of a war, that shows combat? But then you say very little combat was shown?? Which is it? No, contrary to what you are saying, the best engagement footage I have seen out of thise two theaters was that made by fps perspective.
I’m not sure every Uke fighter with a ‘go-pro’ on his helmet has to go thru Uke officials to upload it to the world.
If the Ukes REALLY had video of all these dead Russians up close and personal, it would be in their best interest to release it and show it to show they are winning and get more $$ for pedo Z. FPS video is ALOT harder to fake that CGI produced drone ‘video’. Drone video aint worth much in my book.
Still, from the Russian perspective they have plenty more meat to throw in the grinder. So, no worries. Unless you're the meat.
Exactly. With relatively inexpensive fps mounted cameras, you’d think there would be a sheite ton of guys out there all completing to upload the best video of all the dead and “blowed up” Russian stuff, in the super mass quantities Pedo Z and his handlers want us to believe. Yet, almost nothin.

But there are no louder mouths here than the ones spewing pro-Russian propaganda, and you all do seem to outnumber Ukraine defenders by at least two to one.
The truth here is as old as history -- if defenders stand their ground in entrenched positions, they can inflict multiple casualties on attackers for every one the defenders suffer.
That's one reason it was traditionally calculated that attacking armies must outnumber defenders by at least three-to-one to insure victory.
Russians have been attacking Bakhmut since August, seven months, so obviously, Ukrainians are dug in and fighting back.
In recent months we've seen multiple reports of Russian WWI-style "human wave" tactics, so there's no reason to doubt it's happening.
Indeed, those human wave style attacks are a pretty good explanation for why Russia emptied out its prisons to man the front lines -- the loss of a former prisoner in combat is a net gain for the Russian government.
