Very scary times are ahead of us. Speak out against anything the government supports and the government will charge you. It's not "paranoid" anymore to think that jail time for offering your opinion is in the near future.

Didn't we fight a revolution in the 1700s over things like this?

I mean, I disapprove of her behavior, but we’re getting to where a white person can get in more legal trouble for voicing a bigoted viewpoint than a person of color will get into for physical assault on a white person.

Being an a$$hole isn’t a crime. It usually gets you a bitch slapping from neighbors, family, or peers. This woman is a real jerk. To me it seems like she took an Ambien and had a few glasses of wine.

The first amendment is there to protect speech we do not like. I do not see how this law is Constitutional.

Ethnic intimidation and harrassment? Flee Philadelphia. Run for your lives.

Seems like she was having a bad day, but her behavior is uncalled for. I get where’s she’s coming from. A more appropriate behavior would be not to do business with the Spanish pizza guy. The worst element is government getting involved and controlling speech thru force. There are people that feel the pressure of government and react opposite to it, e.g., tell me I can’t do something and I’ll do it. I’m not talking about real crime like theft, but thought crimes. Speech is enunciated thought.

It’s all one way. This should apply to EVERYONE, not just her.

Watching the video now... This woman behaved like a complete idiot.

And what she’s doing is harassment: https://twitter.com/ChudsOfTikTok/status/1629245501538451456

Our 1st Amendment right does not mean we have the right to harass and yell profanities at people for no reason.

If you don’t like Spanish TV in a restaurant, don’t go to that restaurant.

There’s no such thing as “ethnic intimidation”. Read the first amendment to the Constitution.

It is called lawfare. They create laws to punish their enemies only.

She has the right to her opinion and to state it loudly.

The business owner has the right to lay hands on and give her the “Bum’s Rush” out the door.

Local law should have nothing to say about either.

This woman is a piece of work... but I think charges for “ethnic intimidation”? WTF?

What was intimidating? She said she would run them out town? Going to see if they are illegals? I certainly don’t see anyone being “Intimidated” by her behavior. No one caved to her, and no one went silent to her rant.. so I don’t see how “Intimidation” could be construed. Attempted intimidation perhaps, but certainly no one in that shop seemed intimidated by her behavior.

This DA should be run out of town on a rail IMHO.

Based on her speech pattern I wonder if she is drunk or something.

The woman (Rita Bellew) whose racist rant in a Montgomery County pizza shop went viral was charged with ethnic intimidation and harassment Friday...

That's a crime? What are the penalties?

She voiced her opinions. She didn't threaten or intimidate anyone.

None of her opinions are crimes - under the US Constitution, they CANNOT be crimes.

This is not Germany, we do not have a Grundgesetz. And people who think we should have one are traitors.

“She said her connections to immigrants include grandparents from Ireland and a best friend who is Puerto Rican...”

If she thinks her friend from Puerto Rico is an immigrant, she is really stupid.
