Zelensky’s message on Ukraine war anniversary: ‘we will defeat everyone’

A defiant Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky marked the somber anniversary of the Russian invasion by vowing to bring his country to victory as battles raged on in the east with no end in sight to the conflict.

At a solemn ceremony on St. Sophia Square in Kyiv, a visibly emotional Zelensky handed out medals to soldiers and families of those killed and held back tears when a military band played the national anthem under Ukraine’s yellow-and-blue national flag fluttering in the wind.

“We have become one family. There are no more strangers among us. Ukrainians today are all fellows. Ukrainians have sheltered Ukrainians, opened their homes and hearts to those who were forced to flee the war,” Zelensky said in a video address titled “the year of invincibility”.

The 45-year-old first-term president sat at a desk and recalled how he addressed Ukrainians a year ago in a brief statement, as Russian troops poured into the neighboring country, hoping to bring it to heel in three days’ time.

Even though an agreement had been tentatively reached in 2014

actually, before that, an agreement had been reached in 1991, when the old Soviet Union broke up, and Russia promised to recognize its neighbors' borders

in the 1994 Budapest Agreement, Russia further agreed to recognize Ukraine's sovereignty, in exchange for it giving up nukes

in 2006 Russia invaded neighboring Georgia despite no provocation ... so much for Russia's signed promises

You doubt the Ukrainians take him seriously? He obviously enjoys overwhelming support and they are fighting like hell for him.
There was not a single thing clownish about any quote from him in this article.

Putin and Zelensky are both putting their lust for power above the lives of many thousands of countrymen.

He’ll fight to the last Ukrainian, then he and his cronies will jet off with their bags stuffed with US taxpayer money.

In 1939, the Russians expected to take Finland in a week or two but the Finns held them back for three or four months.

In 2022, Putin sycophants stridently claimed that Kiev would fall in days, and here it is more than a year later, and the Ukrainians have held the Russians back and have humiliated Putin.

“The anger by some here toward a people defending themselves has become a derangenent syndrome.

You have no reason to criticize the Ukrainians or their fight for national survival.

You should admire them.”

Not just derangement syndrome. It’s Putin propaganda and it’s sickening.

If Putin stops fighting and withdraws his army, the war is over. If the Ukrainian army stops fighting, Ukraine as a people and nation comes to an end.

It’s a sad, horrible war the nature of which could have been easily predicted.

The people of Russia, the Ukraine, and Belarus will always wage brutal war. It’s their way of life.

I admire what the Ukrainians are doing. But I also know our Government is only going to make matters worse, especially in the long run.

“He obviously enjoys overwhelming support”
******************************************

If he had overwhelming support then half of the population wouldn’t have fled, and many of those left to fight have no choice, they either fight or get shot in the back by Zelensky’s Azov battalion Nazi goons.

Too bad the Russkies didn’t seize Byedone and charge him as a war criminal. Since she’s also out of the country the good doctor could also be seized and joinly tried.

The people of Russia, the Ukraine, and Belarus will always wage brutal war.

The only reason there is a brutal war, is that Putin and many Russians refuse to recognize Ukraine as an independent country.

Yup and that is why the Ukes attacked Donbas when they wanted to go back to Russia, thus inviting the Russians in. Yup.

The Ukie Nazis are on record shelling the ethnic Russian provinces since 2014, 14,000 plus ethnic Russians killed.

One thing worse than a corrupted, immoral, begging comedian is a corrupted immoral bankrupted welfare government that raises statues and street names to the Ukie Nazi Bandera and his kind, their national hero.

No what is sickening is that people like you don’t seem to understand that all of this is leading up to WW3 with the very real possibility of a resulting nuclear exchange. I don’t give a rat’s a$$ about Russia, I’m more concerned about America’s survival as well as my own.

Complete lie. UN reports TOTAL 14,000 casualties from BOTH sides with about 10,000 being soldiers.

Ukraine as a nation may or may not come to an end. Maybe Putin recognizes that Russia can't digest the whole thing and it would be too much of a problem. But peoples have a way of surviving through defeat and occupation. What is the whole history of Eastern Europe but an illustration of that?

And what if Putin wants to stop fighting, but doesn't want to give up the territory? This is going to come down to something short of complete victory and complete defeat.

“...all of this is leading up to WW3 with the very real possibility of a resulting nuclear exchange...”

So therefore, Putin can take any and all European nations he wants if that is what it takes to prevent WWIII?

Bakmut another Marioupol- 1500 plus Nazi tattooed Ukies surrendered. It will be interesting to see how many Ukie Nazis Vlad will harvest out of Bakmut.

If the collective West refuses to stamp out the Ukie Neo Nazi movement, Vlad will, as promised, for all the world to see.
