During the shotgun shell shortage during the COVID shutdown, the ammo I needed to shoot my skeet hobby was only available to me online. Federal had 12 gage #8 online.

From Wikipedia
Watson Coleman's two sons, William Carter-Watson and Jared C. Coleman, pleaded guilty to holding up the Kids "R" Us store at Mercer Mall with a handgun as it was about to close on March 12, 2001; they were sentenced to seven years in prison and served 5+1⁄2 years. Watson Coleman has acknowledged it in the past and introduced legislation "that bars companies with more than 15 employees to conduct criminal background checks on candidates during the interview process". She argued for the law, saying, "One of the greatest barriers to a second chance in the state of New Jersey is a barrier to employment”; it was later passed and signed into law.

Bill sponsored by Academy and Dicks sporting goods so they can jack up prices.
This would do zero to stop crime. Assuming I am a criminal, I’d buy my ammo with cash at some store 100 miles away.
I sure wouldn’t buy from an online retailer who would ship to my home and have my credit card.
Literally the antithesis of useful. This is just to make hunting and gun sports more expensive.

There are many "boutique" loads that are only available from online suppliers. The demand is too low for a major retailer to stock. It is beyond stupid to prevent online sales.

As everyone knows a firearm is useless without ammo.
Although I might use a bayonet or the gun used as a club.

THIS from the Congress Critter that has not one, but TWO Felons for sons? ARMED ROBBERY of a toy store!
She’s got balls, that’s for sure! Make sure only the criminals have ammo, not the Store Owners being robbed!
Hoping it goes nowhere. We’ve been lucky to get what we need, locally, though prices are obscene. It’s Flyover Country. Everyone has/needs/uses guns.

If anyone has the chance to comment on this proposal use the progs’ own language.
“As a wealthy white well armed man I support this bill 100%. Blacks, Latinx, transgendered should not have easy access to ammo and firearms. There is nothing more threatening to me, as a white male, then an armed BIPOC transgender. ANY rule, law, or regulation that makes it harder for those people to exercise their inalienable right to self defense is better for society.”

There many cartridges that are only available online because they or obscure or obsolete, or just not available and it would be impossible and impractical for any shop to carry every cartridge.

They tried this law already. In the ‘80’s you had to sign for pistol ammunition. It did absolutely nothing to stop crime.

They already did that in the late 1960s. Tons of paperwork that couldn’t be searched and never a solution to a crime came out of it.

When you are being buzzed by a diseased mosquito is it better to simply ignore it and let it bite you, or is it better to swat the dang thing out of existence?
