Austin: ‘Ukraine’s Going to Decide What Victory’ Is and We’ll Focus ‘on What’s in Front of Us’
Breitbart ^ | 02-23-2023 | IAN HANCHETT

On Wednesday’s broadcast of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin responded to questions on what would constitute a victory in the Ukraine-Russia war and whether the U.S. would urge Ukraine to end the war, even if the borders were restored to where they were before the start of the war by stating that “Ukraine’s going to decide what victory’s going to look like,” and “we’re going to focus on what’s in front of us right now and put them in the best possible position to continue to be successful.”

Host Ari Shapiro asked, [relevant exchange begins around 5:30] “This all builds up to what may be the most important question, how does this end?

Austin responded, “I think, again, we’re going to focus on what’s in front of us right now and put them in the best possible position to continue to be successful. And I think that will lead us to Ukraine being in a — again, a good place, whether or not the fighting continues or whether or not they decide to go to the negotiating table.”

Lead, follow or get out of the way.

Austin: “Uhh, we’ll follow then.”

Meaning either that he supports perpetual war, or that he’s opening a door to a negotiated settlement, or both.

Not for nothing...they will eventually give up the two areas Russia held referendums for.

Plenty of folks wish they were back with Mother Russia...say it...and it will cost you your life.

I keep getting the feeling that this will be over soon. Russia will take the land it wants — a big strategic chunk of Ukraine but maybe not all of Ukraine. Ukraine will say “It could have been worse. So ... we won.” And the US will say, “Ukraine has declared victory, so another epic win for our side.”

“Ukraine’s going to decide what victory’s going to look like,”

So Ukraine is dictating US foreign policy? (Guess blackmail does have its advantages)

The president is a homoerotic dancer turned comedian
He is controlled

Lloyd Austin should visit OUR EU and NATO colonies who incidentally, “are not party to the conflict” according to Jens Stoltenberg. General Raython Austin should give special attention to US-occupied Germany. They are becoming wobbley.

Excuse me, Dumbass, but what’s in front of you is a landscape of destruction strewn with a hundred thousand corpses - and tens of billions of completely unaccounted for dollars.

I know that is anecdotal, like this is, but that I find that interesting. My son works with a guy who immigrated from Russia. He is fully on board with Putin and told my son he doesn’t know anyone, including family still in Russia, who does not support Putin.

They still won't admit the Ukraine can't win, but they will keep sending Billions of AMerican tax payer dollars to that hole in the ground.

To keep getting money sent to their war effort, the Ukraine has to make it look like they are winning or can win. So they're flying ancient Soviet-era helicopters - it's enough for funding, right?
