Justices turned down a request for rehearing by Raland Brunson, a Utah man who brought the case.

Justices did not explain their decision and a vote tally was not made available.

The court periodically releases lists of orders, and the Feb. 21 list included the decision on Brunson v. Alma Adams.

“Pfft…a given!”

Yes, but probably not for the reasons you are thinking. It was just a very bad argument they were making in this case.

It might be the SC would reject any argument along these lines, but even if that weren’t true, they still would have rejected this particular one.

Brave Sir Roberts ran away
Away, away,
He bravely ran away.

I bet they are being threatened by Demonrat operatives that if they hear this case and overturn the election certain family members will end up dead.

I HAVE NO DOUBT!

Why blame Roberts, the rest of the conservative justices turned it down as well.

This is going to be just like all that endless birther stuff.

Every month, a new case promises to "be the one!" that'll nullify the presidency.

And every time this latest case appears on the USSC docket, "denied without comment" the following Monday.

This was no more than a quixotic adventure undertaken by the Brunsons. The Supreme court shouldn’t have taken it.

Called it! C.J. Roberts is compromised. Coney-Barrett and Kavanaugh are terrified because they have young children and the four leftists were never going to allow this.

Case was a bunch of nonsense from the start.

Asking the Court to overturn the 2020 Election by removing the President and VP, and then remove 300 members of Congress on top of that, is not in the realm of possiblity.

Anyone who thinks this is remotely realistic, please cut and paste the part(s) of the Constitution that allow the Court to do this (hint, the Constitution doesn’t allow it).

The problem with these type cases, is everyone gets worked up when the cases are dismissed and start talking about the corrupt Court and how bad Roberts is etc, and ignore the reality that what the plaintiffs were asking was impossible from the very start.

Justices did not explain their decision and a vote tally was not made available.

In-your-face dereliction of duty.

The cowardice of the Roberts' Court sends a foul odor through the Halls of Justice.

Why is Roberts so terrified of this case? Resolution of cases like this monumental Federal issue is the key reason the Supreme Court is even in existence.

Both sides will always debate the case, but a decision by the Supreme Court of the land would at least quench much of the fire that will now continue to burn like a cancer in the guts of the Republic.

At this point, what difference does it make. He was the one who rejected the Texas case, even though it was in line with Bush v. Gore, because “there are riots in the streets,” according to his clerk, who probably no longer works for him. I want a scapegoat, and he’ll do.
