There was a time, believe it or not, when leftists said “Celebrate Diversity” and meant it; when it was largely a slogan on a bumper sticker. Now it’s an order: “CELEBRATE DIVERSITY…OR ELSE!” Sorry, I’m not interested.
I’ve always had a natural inclination to push back against anything I was forced to do – insist I’m supposed to care about something and the odds that I won’t increase exponentially. Take, for example, US soccer. During the World Cup all the ads were about “We’re going to do this” or whatever their slogan was. The American public simply doesn’t care about soccer and the US sucks at it compared to the rest of the world, but these corporate sponsors had to do something. It made me root against them, which was easy because I knew they’d lose.
Women’s soccer is much more annoying, by the way, they’re little leftists with purity tests demanding obedience. I’m not interested in cheering for people who hate this country while demanding they be cheered. Hard pass.
When it comes to “diversity,” I have the same attitude. Skin color or who you sleep with are the least interesting parts of what anyone is or does. If that defines you it tells me you’re not bringing anything substantive to the table and I’m not interested.
I’m tall, 6 feet 5 inches; should I demand high fives over that? No. I didn’t have anything to do with it. Hell, I smoked for a long time, so I tried to stunt it.

My philosophy is simple.
I don’t care what you look like.
I don’t care where you came from.
I don’t care about your ancestry or ethnicity.
I don’t care what you believe or think.
I don’t care what you do in the privacy of your own home.
Just as long as I am not compelled to honor it, celebrate it, participate in it, or PAY for it, and I reserve the RIGHT to say anything I want about it without consequence.
School choice and education vouchers will fix it.
Derek Hunter reminds me of Andy Rooney, except not as entertaining.
No, they didn't.
They never were in favor of celebrating any diversity that included the majority.
You don't understand that then you need another cup of coffee.
Diversity is used to pacify the ignorant and obnoxious whiners and losers.
lol- Yep- the left want to ‘celebrate diversity’ but they are gonna sack lemon for his anti-woman comments-

Some words illuminate others darken. Words have meaning, they elicit emotion that guides action. Words are manipulated to entertain, stir our souls, provoke evil, stimulate kindness, produce chaos, and prompt deference. Here are some words and brief comments about their use. You decide if they are dark or illuminating.
Diversity: “Made up of people or things that are different from each other”. The very mention of the word conjures up division. Extolling diversity as a social value is full of peril. The philosophy that embraces the virtues of diversity without the proper context is DIVISIVE. Someone or some group introduced this word into the day-to-day vernacular to exacerbate divisiveness.
Divisive: “Causing a lot of disagreement between people and causing them to separate into different groups”. No Comment Necessary.
Perhaps we should stress words that illuminate. Since we insist on acting based on emotion rather than reason, use these words stir emotions and actions. Substitute any of these words for diversity (or any dark word) and it will instinctively elicit a different emotion.
Respect: “Deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements”. No Comment Necessary.
Cooperation: “The process of working together to the same end”. No Comment Necessary.
Compassion: “Concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others”. No Comment Necessary.
Courtesy: “Politeness in one’s attitude and behavior toward others”. No Comment Necessary.
Understanding: “The power of abstract thought; intellect”. “Sympathetic awareness or tolerance”. No Comment Necessary.
Teamwork: “The combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient”. No Comment Necessary.
I don’t celebrate diversity - I celebrate excellence.
