Bible in a Year:
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Solomon teaches us about protecting our most vulnerable part—our heart. He instructs his son to “guard [his] heart” because from it everything else flows (Proverbs 4:23). God’s instructions guide us through life, steering us away from poor decisions and teaching us where to focus our attention.
If we armor our heart by heeding His instructions, we’ll better “keep [our feet] from evil” and remain steadfast on our journey with God (v. 27). We venture into enemy territory every day, but with His wisdom guarding our hearts, we can stay focused on our mission to live well for God’s glory. Reflect & Pray
What is your heart most vulnerable to right now? How can God’s wisdom protect you?
God, please protect my heart from the threats against it. I hide myself in You.

Howdy, lauren.
Hangin’ in there these days? You’re probably getting as tired of rain and storms as I am and I hear there’s another chance for them for both of us this week. *sigh*
Howdy, Kathy.
Crazy weather you’re having up there today. It was gorgeous most of the day with the sun shining bright. Lake Hood was busy with small planes taking off and landing. Now a person would have a hard time seeing their hand in front of their face, the fog is so thick. It rolled in fast too! I’m glad you didn’t have to drive in that!
...and here I am *sighing* because we’ve gotten zero rain from any of the storms. I know it’s the desert, but geez! LOL!
Howdy, luvie.
Texas has a LOT of military bases, doesn’t it? Hardly a wonder you haven’t heard of all of them. LOL
It’s fun learning about the bases across the country.
You probably don’t want to hear that it’s pouring here, huh? Just started all of a sudden a few minutes ago.
