The Republicans in the House are having an investigation into the collusion of the media, Justice Department, and Intelligence officials as they censored the true story of the Biden family corruption right before the 2020 election.
This was pure election interference to mislead the public.
Now, Glenn Kessler, the designated fact checker at the WaPo, is claiming that the intelligence officials who lied about Russian disinformation were very careful in their wording of the letter but the media either misinterpreted or misused the letter. That is a load of garbage.

The letter signed by more than 50 former intelligence officials about the laptop was carefully worded to say much less than is often claimed.

Yes, they used the expression “has all the earmarks” to leave the impression without definitively stating that it was Russian disinformation. They used this care because they wanted to mislead the public into drawing a conclusion that they were unwilling to state clearly (because they knew it was untrue). The clear purpose of the letter was to tell the public that the laptop’s content was Russian disinformation. Joe Biden cited the letter in a presidential debate with President Trump and claimed that it stated that the laptop was a Russian fake. None of the signers of the letter disputed his interpretation.
These 51 people obviously wanted Biden to win, and they didn't want the public to see how corrupt and dishonest Biden is and has been throughout his career while he sucked off the public trough.
The question is: Who got these former intelligence officials to coordinate a letter as soon as the New York Post story hit?

Using vague words for the purpose of deceiving is still a lying. The 51 "intelligence" whores, as well as the WaPo fluffer, lie.

Plenty of people here at FR predicted this would be the case before it became obvious.
Whenever anything becomes an issue in the mass consciousness, you can be certain that the left will start some sort of highly visible something to get out in front of it and use it to project their own spin.

They knew it was real. They issued a statement saying ‘it looks like Russian misinformation’ when they knew it did not and was not. They lied. “Fact checker” should be changed to “boot licker”

The letter was written in coordination with the Media precisely so The JoeTatoe could use it in the debate.
The Media has a history of coordinating with its Democrat candidates.

Yes, but that was just a small one.
The "women's movement," the "environmental movement," the "consumer protection movement," ANTIFA, Occupy Wall Street, you name it. Recently it's been the Gender Identity crisis, the COVID crisis, the COVID vax crisis, etc.
Any legitimate anxiety among the public will very quickly be co-opted by the left to spread its message and distort the problem in ways helpful to the left in its effort to advance its agenda.
During periods of relative calm, the left and the MSM will create divisive "crises" — out of whole cloth, if necessary — and then stand on whatever soapbox they can find to spread their message.
Find out where a lot of people are looking, then get up on the stage in front of them (by any means necessary) and start shouting your message at them.
Why lie, when you can simply confuse or mislead, and get the same result?
NFL officials have perhaps made it sink in that most things are rigged when the opportunity presents itself.

I saw his Twitter feed, he’s all in for the Commies. Weird that they are so brazen and unapologetic.
We all know it wasn’t definitive but they shouldn’t have done what they did…..it hurt the nation. It woke up the right that our government has chosen a side.
