The Sun has always fascinated astronomers. And now, a new development has baffled scientists. A huge part of the Sun broke off of its surface and created a tornado-like swirl around its North Pole. Though scientists are trying to analyse how this occurred, the video of the development has stunned the space community.

YEP, it is; WERE ALL GONNA DIE!
IN 3—2—1— GO.
Must be something in the water .... doctors, scientists, experts baffled.
Been better if it happened at night. π€π
LOL, nice.
You should apply for funding. They’d probably give it to you.
Write up some BS funding app...
Since we really don’t understand all of the suns dynamics, could it be possible a larger piece could break off, follow the solar wind to earth and envelope it with life killing temperatures?....plausible? possibility ? The gravity effect would be great, even if the mass misses us, as the attraction of the sun to the earth would drop, and we could end up with larger elliptical orbit, and freeze during apogee, and cool off significantly from today during perigee? Great idea for a movie, if anyone exists at that point. People will be clamoring to burn more fossil fuels and enhance global warming. Just sayin’
Fond memory there...
“Earth’s global warming caused this” - AOC
Those dang gas stoves.
The Wrath of God is upon us.
The word your missing in there is
YET!
No. I saw what you saw. Some sort of explosion with an ejection outwards but if it is a βchunkβ it looked pretty small.
I think this is because mankind uses too much sun screen. It is causing the sun to overload.
With lithium batteries and forgoing “fossil” fuels (Securing Utopia for the human race), we won’t need the sun anyway, no worries, sure some algorithm will figure that out, thus, trust the science dudes.
Yes that means smaller sun, less sunshine, ice age will come sooner.
Could it be the formation of a new planet? The Sun is mad that pluto got demoted from what I hear.
Now?!
Not sure yet.
I just was checking the news and now, the Sun's falling apart.
So we can burn gas again?
Solar flare. Happens all the time.
