Since we really don’t understand all of the suns dynamics, could it be possible a larger piece could break off, follow the solar wind to earth and envelope it with life killing temperatures?....plausible? possibility ? The gravity effect would be great, even if the mass misses us, as the attraction of the sun to the earth would drop, and we could end up with larger elliptical orbit, and freeze during apogee, and cool off significantly from today during perigee? Great idea for a movie, if anyone exists at that point. People will be clamoring to burn more fossil fuels and enhance global warming. Just sayin’
Well it certainly would not be hot by the time it reaches earth. The nuclear reactions that Herat the sun occur at the core. A piece of matter breaking off from the sun would no longer be heated and would rapidly cool.
It’s also unlikely that, despite the description, this piece of solar matter would be large enough to be an appreciable fraction of the sun’s mass, so the gravitational effect would likely be negligible and earth’s orbit little affected. Basically, assuming it actually was emitted in our direction, it would be a large solar flare, something that is not a particularly uncommon or dangerous occurrence.
It already was a Twilight Zone episode.
which tells me scientists dont know as much as they pretend to know
Our system of "Science" is even worse than our system of "news"
they just make stuff up and we are supposed to believe it without question
