A lot of it is the students, their parents and the culture they come from.

Back in the day fights were always between the students, and generally off school grounds, never with the teacher. That was a red line that was not crossed.
Maybe the teacher was telling the girl she is really a boy.
Public school teachers are dither pedophiles or groomers because that is what the curriculum demands. I struggle to have sympathy for them.
What does she need any schooling for anyway? She’s always going to try to solve everything that goes wrong in her life with violence. That’s all certain people ever learn from their parents and it gets passed down generation after generation.

Unfortunately I live in this county. I’m not surprised by this video. The backlash on Nextdoor app is intense towards the student and school authorities though. This was once a wonderful place to live before Dekalb county residents took it over.
Years ago, at this same school, a teacher was confronted in her classroom by her ex-husband who was armed with a knife. Several students, including the son of the local sheriff, jumped into action and took the attacker down. No cell phone videos, no laughing or ignoring the threat, they saw the danger and acted. The students were hailed as heroes. The attacker is now in prison.
